The case against Comey is a bogus, "lawfare" prosecution. If there was more to it than the ridiculous seashells, then additional evidence should have been referenced in the indictment.
A more substantial, detailed indictment (often referred to as a "speaking indictment" like, for example, the indictments Smith brought against Trump) is better able to withstand pretrial motions to dismiss compared to a bare-bones indictment. A detailed indictment, which outlines the specific facts, acts and intent behind the charges, makes it much harder for the defense to argue that the charges are vague, fail to state an offense and/or are legally insufficient, or fail to provide adequate notice to the defendant.
@bar-down it also is a time to try and convince people they don't need to roll over and play dead until 28. Look at the polling, there is a lot of anti Trump feeling. Jesus Trump, Phone Trump, and now Reflecting Pool Trump scamming people doesn't help him. It VERY EASILY can mean oppose Trump. Which is why they will never get a conviction.
