I actually know a good number of people that changed how they described Trump in the days and weeks after he started in on his birther campaign stuff. It went from "Oh God, what is he saying now... he's so annoying. I wish he'd just go away." To... "You know, I think shaking up Washington is needed right now. And its not like he's wrong on a lot of this stuff."

You have to keep in mind that the only politicians who ever called Trump a modern Hitler, two guys named JD Vance and Marco Rubio IIRC, have kind of walked back from that opinion.

I would have strongly preferred Vance as 47, or even 46 or 45 for that matter, over what we got...for what its worth.

Here's the problem with that. There is legitimate criticism of Trump that is warranted, but he has constantly called media outlets who don't fawn over him enemies of the people, fake news, bad people, and all sorts of crazed names. I worry this type of rhetoric post last week is inching us closer to jailing people for opposing the administration/government based on it potentially leading to political violence.
Where do you think the Trump administration draws the line? Will the line be for/against them?
