Every voter in Cali gets mailed a ballot and since Cali is heavily Dem, it would make sense that the mail-in ballots heavily favor them.
And the delay in the counting in LA is to insure the very thing that Republicans are screaming is happening (fraud), is NOT happening. Because of the number of mail-in ballots, there is a lot longer process of verifying the ballots and making sure that someone who did a mail-in ballot didn't also vote in-person.
This is spot on. And isn't it weird how it's only elections that MAGA candidates lose that are 'rigged?' Remember when Elon Musk and Trump were talking about irregularities in voting in the 'blue wall states' on election night in 2024? Somehow that issue resolved itself and they never brought it up. I guess 2020 was rigged, but 2024 was not.

That dog just wont hunt. Somehow Florida can get us the results of 3 million mail-ins on election night but a city of 3.8 million people of which only a fraction voted and a smaller fraction voted mail-in can't get us results for weeks.

I agree that a public review of voting systems needs to be done to quell all the public uncertainty around election integrity, but Trump really needs to STFU about 2020 being rigged and stolen from him. He and his sycophants/subordinates aren't doing anything to help the public perception in that area.

Trump is going to keep beating this "elections are rigged" drum (he's been doing it for over a decade now) so he can scream "FRAUD!" when things don't go his way in November. He's compounding the damage he's already inflicted on the country with this bogus, bullshit narrative.
States decide how their elections are to be conducted. For example, California allows for mail-in ballots to be postmarked up to Election Day. If the postmark requirement is satisfied, the ballot will be accepted if received no later than seven days after Election Day. Florida, on the other hand, requires mail-ins to be RECEIVED by the close of business on Election Day.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both. California's system ensures that all (or close to all) votes are counted, but the mail-in deadline doesn't allow for quick results. Florida's rules allow for prompt results, but mail-in voting is always early voting. That's not acceptable or feasible for many people, and leads to properly cast votes not being counted. For example, in 2018, several thousand mail-in votes in Florida that were postmarked before Election Day but not received in time were not counted. Some state house races were decided by fewer than 100 votes, so the uncounted votes likely would have made a difference in some election outcomes.
Slower results aren't fraudulent results. I'd prefer a slower, meticulous process that captures all the voting as opposed to a rushed count that omits large numbers of votes cast prior to or on Election Day.

Trump claimed Ted Cruz stole the 2016 primary. He has yet to concede a single election loss by him or any Republican. They were all stolen. Every single one.
