Anyone else affected by these? I was affected by both...Capital One settled for $425M (deceptive marketing) and AT&T settled for $177M (data breach). First thought is it's about time these mega-corporations be held responsible. Second thought is will these protections from the CFPB apply in the future with the gutting of that agency? Thoughts? Or just prayers? That last part was probably unnecessary 😉 I'm honestly looking for feedback/constructive conversation.
i haven’t checked, but given I’ve had AT&T phone service for awhile I’d guess I’m impacted. Is this one of those things where you fill out a form and get something like $8 a few weeks later?
