Dusty seems to be practicing Cig's "break their will" philosophy.

But at least we had that magical 4th year!
We only need two, to match Michigan.
2x18 matches their 36 wins.
We are almost there! As Ernie Banks said. Lets play two!

Does anyone really think DeVries will be able to put together an elite roster the way Dusty did?
Doorknob’s ceiling is a bubble team. Scott better get to work scrounging up the contract buyout money.

Michigan got a commit from a 5 star at halftime. Dusty getting top talent now while he is coaching the game. Michigan is a serious program and they proved it with the hire

No chance
Someday people need to accept that May was never coming to IU, no matter when Woody was fired. Michigan was and is a better program, while Indiana is where coaches go to die.
@gthomas Maybe when May retires and confirms that in his memoirs, people who still care will be convinced.
@gthomas Funny how we never heard this narrative until now. Back on the old rivals forum at the time, some guy posted that May was as good as hired until Woodson refused to be a good soldier and retire. Now, since it’s clear that Dolson has failed once again, suddenly May never would have considered coming to IU at any point no matter what. Whatever helps you to sleep at night I guess…
I'm just looking at it pragmatically. Although Michigan was coming off a horrible year under Howard, the program was more stable and consistent than IU. Michigan was the better job, plain and simple. Dusty made the smart basketball choice; it's hard to argue otherwise.@gthomas Funny how we never heard this narrative until now. We will never know because we are not a serious program. Serious programs would 100% fire Woodson after year 3 and go all in on getting may. Offer him a huge amount. But michigan did what was needed and will attract killer talent for a very long time now. Props to them.
None were more prominent than eventual Indiana Mr. Basketball Braylon Mullins, who would choose UConn over IU. To put it bluntly, Woodson turned out to be the reason why Mullins picked UConn over Indiana. And he went on to have a strong freshman season with the Huskies, including one of the most memorable game-winners in March Madness history to send UConn to the Final Four back in his home state.
Now on Monday night, in Indianapolis of all places, the decision to keep Woodson for a fourth season is back under the spotlight. At least for Indiana fans.
What a disaster. And just think they are honoring quinn tomorrow night. He will have that smug smile on this face
If the NCAAT had a 76-team field during Woody's tenure, IU would have been in all four years. How much more watered down can it get? Slipping into the tourney shouldn't be any sort of barometer moving forward. Hell, any P5 team with decent resources should get in every season.

Quinn will be grinning ear to ear at halftime tomorrow night with that grin on his face knowing he destroyed the program to help his buddy
