Name some of these ways. I was in Malaysia on election day of 2012 on business trip after retiring from the military (a few months earlier). The customers don't give a damn about our election day, and they shouldn't have to. How could I have voted without absentee voting?@aloha-hoosier there are many ways to address in person voting that remedy the inconveniences you state. if you won powerball would you mail in your winning ticket? of course not. you'd show up in person. why? because it's more secure. the mail invites too many problems. disabled and military of course. the rest show up.
@aloha-hoosier i don't have time to think of the ways but hell a copy of your airline ticket. who knows. it's not something that isn't able to be done. a separate date. whatever
@aloha-hoosier i disagree on mail for myriad reasons including time. no more mail. only military and disabled. everyone else can get off their asses and go vote in person. with an id
I'll be upfront and say I don't know the answer to this, but due to traffic, I wonder if California requiring everyone to vote in person would diminish voter turnout. Driving around LA sucks and if you have to carve out an hour or so just to go vote I wonder how many people would just say 'eff it, and not do it."
I'm also saying that's not a reason to require in-person voting...I just wonder if that is something discussed.
If I mail a ballot and somebody steals it, it would take me 10 seconds to find out that my ballot was never received, never counted, never verified, and that I need to either vote another way or request a new ballot.
Face facts, Trump and his cultists think he can never lose any election, in any jurisdiction, not matter how voting is done. If it was 100% done only in person and they lost, they would cry and manufacture cheating allegations. Outlawing main-in-voting and taking voting laws away from states solves nothing. There will still be Murtish morons around.

@ohio-guy and for all the people who bitch in the hood or wherever else that say it's tacit suppression have more voting locations. make it convenient.
...have more voting locations. make it convenient.
good plan, but... That's 180 degrees opposite the Project 2025 game plan. Minority district? Close voting locations. Make them travel further and wait in line longer. Make them get so frustrated by the experience that they are less likely to vote in the future. Win! Silence those damn (N-word)s at the polls. MAGA!

@shooter fraud occurs with mail in voting. is it rare. of course. but the woke cult wants mail and not in person voting because they believe it will increase the likelihood of it's constituents voting in keeping with their belief that dems can't do anything for themselves and need help. faxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. "As with all forms of voter fraud, documented instances of fraud related to VBM are rare. However, even many scholars who argue that fraud is generally rare agree that fraud with VBM voting seems to be more frequent than with in-person voting."

Why would allowing secure voting methods that increase participation by legal registered voters be a bad thing?

exactly. show up in person with an id. that's the most secure way of all. we agreesecure voting methods
@shooter oh my you got your men for walz shirt on as you type that on behalf of your cult? personally i believe that blacks who care enough can get an id and go vote. and if they can't maybe they shouldn't be voting. but they continue to vote here. we see the consequences of it election after election. we may even be bringing your girl cori bush back to dc. get your squad cooking again for your cult
show up in person with an id.
I did that, to get signed up to vote by mail!

Are you asking why it is a bad thing when people too stupid/ lazy to figure out how to register to vote and get to their local polling place vote en masse?
I think it’s pretty self-explanatory.,
Coming back from Malaysia was the trip from hell. Took almost two and a half days and none of that was hotel time. It's always a long trip, but not that long.@aloha-hoosier i don't have time to think of the ways but hell a copy of your airline ticket. who knows. it's not something that isn't able to be done. a separate date. whatever
ID and citizenship requirements are no brainers. Should happen in every state.@shooter oh my you got your men for walz shirt on as you type that on behalf of your cult? personally i believe that blacks who care enough can get an id and go vote. and if they can't maybe they shouldn't be voting. but they continue to vote here. we see the consequences of it election after election. we may even be bringing your girl cori bush back to dc. get your squad cooking again for your cult
