A 9-11 truther feels he/she has no need to show any real evidence for that belief.

A flat Earther feels he/she has no need to show any real evidence for that belief.

A "the government is poisoning us with chemtrails" conspiracy theorist feels he/she has no need to show any real evidence for that belief.

Go down the line...

vaccine deniers,

UFO alien abduction believers,

Earth-centric universe believers,

believers in the mystical powers of "healing crystals" and magic incantations,

believers in widespread stealing of USA elections.

SHOW SOME EVIDENCE, OR WE CAN SAFELY ASSUME THAT YOU ARE JUST MAKING SHIT UP.

It is up to YOU to give support for your contentions.  Not just theoretical problems, but issues that have ACTUALLY OCCURRED.

This shouldn't be hard.

One does not need evidence that a crime has taken place previously to advocate that measures to prevent future crimes are beneficial.  It’s clear that you & Dem leadership want to preserve opportunities to commit fraud, just own it.

@squeakyclean @big-ryan you both are missing the point entirely.

i don't believe voter fraud is a real issue. i believe mail in voting is fine.  BUT when confidence is as bad as set forth above with BOTH parties it's an issue. a real issue.  and we're going to have revolts and problems.  whether fraud is occurring isn't hte important part.  trust and faith are what's important.  and that is severely lacking with tens of millions of people

No.  I'm not missing the point at all.  What needs to be pounded is the truth.  Evidence.  Proof. Burdens of proof.  There's no evidence of widespread voter fraud that is impacting elections in study after study.  The courts have weighed in, too, with the same conclusion.  Same deal with government investigations.

The public doesn't have trust in much of anything anymore.  Social media is mostly to blame. But if the truth is hammered endlessly, like lies are on social media, perceptions can change.

My wife sent a check to the utility company to pay our bill.  Prove she wrote it.

A man was murdered in your town. Prove you didn't do it.

That’s easy.  Give me the time, place, method & I can easily do so.  What a dumb analogy.  Your true colors on election security are showing…what a shock.😆

relying on gov for anything is insane.  if these people weren't fully funded with their own insurance, or had the means to rebuild on their own, wtf were they doing @hooky as you said with your fam's property.  sell it and get the hell out of calif.  waiting on the gov process no chance

Newsome is such a disaster. I know a few people who lost their houses in the Palisades fire and moved to AZ and TX

So, you're bragging that you're capable of murder. 😉 It's actually a good analogy. Like with significant voter fraud in California, there is no evidence you murdered some guy in your town. At least, I think so . . .

You think you know my true colors because you're just not very smart. I'm for 100 percent voter ID and proof of citizenship for federal elections. I've been arguing for that on this board's predecessors for years. Goat and other long-time liberals here can attest to this. Did battle with the libs who claimed voter ID would reduce Democrat voters, because I suppose they think they're too stupid to wrangle an appropriate ID. I also showed them that in states that enacted voter ID requirement, Democrat voters INCREASED, so real world results proved them wrong about voter IDs. We've also been winning the voter ID battle as over half of the states now require them. I believe it's up to somewhere around 37 states IIRC. I also advocate for proving citizenship when getting the ID so that only citizens could register to vote in federal elections or vote in federal elections. Welcome to the party, newbie.

I also think California's system is in dire need of change. However, I'm a logical man, and know that not liking the system doesn't translate into evidence of voter fraud. I also know that Pratt had zero chance of making the runoff and that's not because of voter fraud. In fact, it's obvious that Pratt making the runoff would INCREASE the Democrat's chance of winning and that shows up in the polls, so in addition to no evidence of fraud, if there was it would logically be for Pratt in the primary to make it easier for the Democrat to win the general. I was hopeful that Hilton would make it, and he did. However, Democrats are hardly quaking in their boots about the general. It's frickin' California, and like Hawaii, the chances of the Republicans winning statewide elections there are something approaching zero.

A man eats McDonalds for breakfast, lunch and dinner, he does not exercise, nor does he go in for regular doctors visits.

I tell him "your health regimen is fucked!"

"Impossible!" the man replies. "I have yet to have a coronary and my instances of heart pain are exceedingly rare and inconsequential"

No, we aren't dealing in anecdotes but looking widely at the issue. If you want to make your analogy, the man would say

"My BMI is 19.5, my cholesterol numbers are great, my calcium score is wonderful, my BP is normal, I have no family history of heart disease, and I don't eat at McDonalds. Statistically, across tens of millions of patients studied in epidemiological studies, my risk of a coronary is exceptionally low.  Ergo, your insistence that I am due to keel over at any moment from a heart attack is a massive pile of shit, a turd of CarRamRod proportions".

That's why I threw in the analogy that the guy never goes to the doctor. He wouldn't have those metrics. In the case of California that could be not allowing ID's or refusing to clean voter rolls or allowing uncapped balott harvesting.

You can't identify fraud (or health issues) you're making an affirmative decision not to look for.

You suck at analogies too huh?

You suck at looking at data, too, don't you?  It is against the law to vote illegally, anywhere, and if you report it (with evidence) then it will be investigated.  So how many examples of illegal voting have been established?  Sure there are some one-off anecdotes, mostly by MAGA trying to "retaliate" against imaginary efforts by Dems.  But overall it is nearly as unproblematic as the risk of being struck by a meteorite (though I'm sure that you wear your hard hat 24/7, just in case, or would, if you hero asked you to).

In response to my assertion that California has built a system purposely meant to enable and conceal fraud you thought it would be a good idea to reply:

“Look at the data! There is minimal fraud”

I can’t handle the stupidity anymore. I’m done with you for today.

Fascinating. Raman was dead last in mail-ins, dead last in in-person, but mail-ins received after Election Day she absolutely crushed.

What do we think it was about the late mail-in voter that broke so heavily for Raman? Seems like almost a statistical impossibility.

I have no doubt there is fraud and crazy ballot harvesting but most people who would vote for pratt have left. The people who stay either get the free services or simply do not mind crazy taxes and living costs.
