Halftime thoughts
IU 0 – Rutgers 0
Indiana has had promising attacking stretches, but the final product hasn’t been there. Four shots and only one on target, with Moller-Jensen producing the lone effort that forced a save.
Mroz’s late one on one save is the biggest moment of the half. Rutgers found a dangerous opening through Di Ponzio, but Mroz kept it even before the follow-up went off target.
Rutgers grew into the half and generated the better late chances. IU needs to limit those openings while finding cleaner combinations around the Rutgers box.
A choppy first half overall. Between the frequent throw-ins, fouls and players slipping on the wet surface, neither team has sustained much rhythm.
Wow, Rutgers, Di Ponzio gets a great through ball, Dribbles through Indiana defenders, shoots, first shot blocked, second shot off the rebound, a bender around the right, goal bottom right, 72’
1-0 Indiana, first deficit Indiana has faced in all of Big 10 play
