@jdb @larsiu @gros-louis @goat @mcm666 @thehoosierhuddle @evanalvarez8 I feel abandoned.  I'm playing with legos all by myself and it's a lot more fun with friends.  Are you guys not watching soccer?  Lots of great games going on, storylines and goals to link.  We've got the world cup coming up.  Get your shit together.

I did watch the Old Firm this weekend. Can't believe Forrest is still playing. Feel like I've been watching him forever.

I don’t really watch all that much soccer. I’ll ramp up as we get ready for the world cups.

as far as IU soccer goes. Friday is a must win, which is absurd because they started the year so well.

The Big Ten shrunk the tournament down, which is the opposite of what has happened elsewhere

Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle

@evanalvarez8 Yea it's been surprising how bad Liverpool has been.  They just haven't figured out how to put all these new pieces together.  They have too much talent to not make noise at some point.

@mcm666 IU being relevant is actually a legit excuse.  I hadn't considered that, but I find myself recording a lot of the streams for teams I want to watch.  I haven't watched a single MLS game.  There's just too much European football for me to watch MLS.  I record all Barcelona, ManU, Chelsea and PSG games.  While I respect PSG dominace on the field with their possession control and depth of players they're kinda boring to watch.  I think their injuries are starting to catch up though.  They couldn't keep up with Bayern.  Yes we did get good Liverpool, now they need to prove they can win a fricking game in the EPL.

I'm still watching Estevao closely for Chelsea, but dissappointed at the lack of time he's getting on the field.  It makes sense though as he's new to the EPL and physically still only weighs 137 lbs.  The kid is special though and Chelsea has way to many players they know what to do with and Cole Palmer is still injured.  I will tell you a player that's been a revelation to me is Moises Caicedo.  This guy is playing as well as any midfielder right now.  I don't know how good Ecuador is, but it seems they have some talent.

Haaland is back to being Haaland.  He's unstoppable right now for his club and country.  I'm excited to see Norway make the World Cup next year.  The world cup deserves to have Haaland in it.

@eppy99 they’ll figure out a way to get him to Barca. He was a target but their financial mess prevented it.   Winter is coming and I’ll watch more

@mcm666 Are you talking about Haaland as a replacement for Lewandoski?  The other big rumor is Vini Jr. is on his way out of Real Madrid.  Seems his antics aren't being well received.  He recently had to make a public apology.

@mcm666 speaking of winter it looks like Endrick will finally get some playing time on loan to Lyon.  I’m excited to see if he’s worth the hype.

As for Estevao I think he’ll be at Chelsea for awhile.  He seems to be fitting in well.  Most of his family has moved with him to England and he seems to be a well rounded and grounded kid.

@eppy99 Amorim looks like he’s figuring things out. Still needs a younger more athletic CDM so Fernandes can stay forward. Deligt looks really good this year. Make or break year for Yoro. Cesko still up in the air but Amad as a RWB with Mbuemo up top in front of him is pretty lethal. Cunha will be good though he loses the ball in the midfield way too much. All in all I’m excited. Shou push for Europa league football this year. EPL is still early but there is a ton of parity past Arsenal and Shitty.

@larsiu Still wishing there was a spot for Kobbie on the field.  I feel pretty confident Bruno and maybe Casseimiro will be gone next year.  I'd hate to give up on Kobbie so soon. I get he want a shot for Englands national team though.  I suppose it could just be a winter transfer.

My fault Eppy! hahaha

Fatherhood and transitioning to a new job/city in the next month has stretched me thin. However, still keeping up with the wonderful world of footy.

As a massive Barnsley fan (league one England), it has been a roller coaster season but hoping we can continue to challenge for promotion.

Also as a massive Bologna fan (Serie A), I love the parity of the league and can't wait for us to continue to push for European qualification while also doing well in Europa.

Additionally, I have become a big Lyon fan (Ligue 1). The French league is often discounted for being poor quality, but I highly disagree. They play an exciting brand of football and there's a lot of action and top tier teams there. It's a lot of fun!

As for UCL, Arsenal's D continues to impress me time and time again. I also think this could finally be Bayern's (Harry Kane's) year. They are a special team.

Today, I'm watching:

-USA U17 vs Burkina Faso U17 in the first game of the U17 World Cup (10:15 AM ET on FS2 and Peacock)

-Probably quad boxing Brugge/Barca, City/Dortmund, Marseille/Atalanta, and Castle/Athletic in the 3PM slot

@evanalvarez8 well as a new father I didn’t find any time for soccer.  Only now I have returned to the beautiful game full time.

Did you see my comment that it looks like Endrick is getting loaned to Lyon?

Also there’s some players in Serie A I really want to check out but haven’t found the time.  Nico Paz, Yildiz(sp), Camarda and Rodrigo Mora.  Have you watched any of these players?  I know Paz is a loan from Real Madrid and most likely will be heading back.

Another kid from the Bundeligia I’ve yet to see that’s getting great publicity is Lennart Karl.  I did see one of his goals that was pretty impressive.  Another young Turkish kid on Frankfort named Can Uzun is supposed to be really good.

Lots of prospects to watch.  Keeps the game from getting boring

Have you watched Estevao?  I worry a bit about Lamine Yamal’s usage and quite frankly he’s getting a bit cocky.

@eppy99 Nico Paz is unbelievable, yes! And I do like Yildiz as well. I don't watch the prem too much as I spend time watching my other teams/leagues, but I have heard that Estevao is amazing

Edit: YES! I can't wait for Endrick!!!!!!!!!!!

@evanalvarez8 I will have to make it a point of watching Paz.  What about Camarda?

Estevao did score today.  It's his 2nd in two games in the Champions league and 4th on the year.  I only starts every other game right now.  In the games he doesn't start he usually subs in with  about 15 minutes left.  I'm excited to see what he does with fulltime minutes.
