@eppy99 Pulisic just doesn’t have much of a personality. I watched a few minutes and that was enough. Sunderland til I die is probably my favorite
but I enjoy all of them. Leeds. Newcastle.
@mcm666 do you listen to the Men With Blazers podcast? Since I’m a Pacers fan I enjoyed the episode with TJ McConnell and Larry Nance talking about their love for Leeds.
@eppy99 I have seen it but don’t. Honestly I like the shows I named better than the games. I love the process and business side and community involvement in watching clubs rise and fall. Promotion and relegation is the most fascinating thing in sports. These shows were enlightening in that of if I could have any career choice working for a club on the business operational side would I think have been the job I’d have loved most
@mcm666 I too find relegation and promotion fascinating. And as I learned watching the Burnley doc the city goes as the team goes. I can’t even imagine if say my Pacers of Colts were relegated.
Honestly I’d love to see it in professional baseball. I think it’s a sport that could benefit. We already have a tiered system of teams.

Well, this Manchester United vs Everton game has been unique and entertaining. 10 minutes into the game an Everton player received a red card for bitch slapping his own player after arguing a defensive assignment. I've never in my life seen that. Then Everton scored a 10 man goal. The rest of this game should be interesting.
Just wanted to bump this thread to say, man, I started replying to complain about how Scottish football was a disaster and Celtic/Rangers were just slowly committing suicide by staying in that league, but now that the season is coming into the final stretch, this three-way race with Hearts is looking to finish a classic. Maybe that will pump some interest back into the league.

There are actually 8 left. The Scottish league does this weird thing called "the split" where after match 33, they divide the table in two, and the bottom 6 teams and top 6 team each play a 5-match round robin among them. It's supposed to make the late season more meaningful because the teams battling for either the title or to avoid relegation get an extra shot at each other (but mostly it's the result of only having 12 teams in the league and trying to find a way to make a 38-game season). For our purposes, that means Celtic, Rangers, and Hearts are all guaranteed to face each other one more time. Those matches will be mandatory viewing. I usually only watch the matches that are on CBS Sports Net, because I don't want to pay even more than I already do, but I might have to sign up for a Paramount+ trial just to watch the last month of this season.
@goat Ohhhh, I see! Yeah Belgium and Switzerland use a similar format to that too, among a couple other small countries. I kind of like it! It's unique and to your point forces some fun matchups. I'll definitely be tuned into Scotland now! Thanks for the heads up.
