If my personal sportsbook, I have IU as underdogs in all remaining games. If NW can win in AH, Minnesota sure as hell can. Medved has done an impressive job; it's quite possible Minnesota makes IU its bitch, just as NW has.
Three Drake coaches in the B1G ... and IU got the runt of the litter. Ugh.
If Medved was at Indiana, with his Minnesota roster, and we now had their record or similar, we would be ripping him worse than we are DeVries.
He is a solid coach, but...
If he were at IU, we'd at least have hope. Imo, Minnesota's 13-15, 6-11 is more impressive than IU's 17-11, 8-9.If Medved was at Indiana, with his Minnesota roster, and we now had their record or similar, we would be ripping him worse than we are DeVries.

ESPN obviously doesn't drug test its employees...
"After a run of five wins in six games, Indiana has now lost three straight to Illinois, Purdue and Northwestern, shaving the Hoosiers' conditional at-large probability down to the 60% range."
The Bubble may be soft, but it's not that soft.
Wisky is more likely to be Q1 than not at the end.
Wisky is 32 right now. Gonna be close because they have three road games left (@OR, @Wash, @PU). If they drop one of those west coast games and the Purdue game, then they will definitely not jump to Q1.
Wisky just lost to Oregon. The odds of IU's win against them becoming a quad 1 win just dropped alot.
That looks worse in print even than it sounds. By the metrics I see, Minny's schedule is ranked lower than ours.... If he were at IU, we'd at least have hope. Imo, Minnesota's 13-15, 6-11 is more impressive than IU's 17-11, 8-9.
You know there would be 'Fire Medved!' signs by Hoosier fans if he had that record here. And fire Dolson signs.
It's not an apples-to-apples situation. NM would have had more resources if he were the Hoosiers' coach, so it's not like he'd have the Minnesota roster at IU. Records need context. Let me put it a different way: Medved has impressed me more with his roster than DeVries has with his ... and I'd happily swap coaches. You know there would be 'Fire Medved!' signs by Hoosier fans if he had that record here
It's all hypothetically subjective, so we can't known either way. It's just how I feel based on what my eyes tell me.

They only dropped to 34 after that. It gets harder and harder for drops as SoS continues to rise this late. Heck, look at MQ, they were near 200 and are back down to 100 and they have a single win above Q3. Wisky still has a very good chance of ending up top 30.

Minnesota has had major injuries all season long. My guess is if they had been healthy they would be making the tourney. I think Minnesota got a pretty good coach.
Fine. I like Medved and like their hire. But before this year his track record looks more average than Devries. Maybe his recent tourney appearances are who he is though, maybe not. We had guys out with injury too. Trouble is maybe we signed them that way. I'm not bummed about Medved. At best he'd be about the same. Which is, fair.
@openwheel I'm not trying to argue with you or anyone else; my apologies if it comes off that way.
The good news for those who think DD will turn into a keeper: I've been wrong 956774674774224578888322379 times in my life, so he'll probably win a Natty someday.

Gotta recruit at Minesota. Not too easy. We shall see. He's done a nice job though. They are definitely better than they have been since Jordan Murphy left.
Gotta beat MSU and Minnesota. IU will have a shot if they do that. If they win one of those, then they have to beat OSU.
OSU will be 10-10 if IU beats them. Indiana would be 9th if they beat OSU and MSU.
Difficult task. One at a time. Career on the line for Tucker DeVries. 2500 points down the drain if he doesn't show a hell of a game vs MSU. Need 25 from him.
I don't get bent. I think it's fun. Sorry if I come across that way too often.@openwheel I'm not trying to argue with you or anyone else; my apologies if it comes off that way.

This year has led to some concerns. No doubt.
Competitive game Sunday, but a loss. Then win the last 2, and I think they'll likely squeak in. Obviously depending on bid stealers.
If they finish at 9-11, but win a couple BTT games, they could still get in.
That's how bad this year's bubble is. We all live in the IU "bubble", but when you pull yourself out of it, and start trying to make cases for other bubble teams, over IU... there aren't many that should make it any more than IU should. As crappy as we all feel about them, right now, they're still in a good spot to get in. Going 10-10 implies either beating MSU, or winning at OSU. Both Quad 1 wins, and both would be huge boosts versus rest of the bubble.
If they win all 3 remaining games, they're safely in, without question... probably 8/9 seed line safely in.

And tons of excuses claiming his roster was hurt all season so what do you expect. It would go both ways he has not had a healthy starting five all season. I think he only had seven healthy players when they took us down.
