1. IU Basketball Hosting Cream & Crimson Scrimmage
The Cream and Crimson scrimmage event is back. For those wishing for a true "Hoosier Hysteria" midnight madness style production, you will be left begging because that type of thing is gone. However, many wanted a straight scrimmage without all the bells and whistles of a concert and skills competitions and this appears to be designed to fulfill that wish. The scrimmage takes place on October 2 and begins at 6:00. Admission is free (with canned goods donations encouraged).
2. IU Great Steve Alford Retiring at Season's End
Former Indiana University All-American Steve Alford is retiring from coaching at the end of this season.
3. Darius Wabbington Begins Arizona Visit
Indiana's main remaining target for the 2027 recruiting class, five-star big man Darius Wabbington, is beginning his official visit to Arizona. Wabbington is already very familiar with Tommy Lloyd's program as he lives in the state and has been to Tucson many times but this is his official visit. The Wildcats are considered the favorite to land Wabbington with IU and possibly Illinois in the battle.
