@ge-off that’s the list, for sure. Only thing we might lack, at that point, is athleticism on the wing. A foreign 4 man like the Illinois freshman, would be perfect.

@ge-off Moody, Karvala, and/or Sisley could end up being huge for us, yes. Heck, even Manhertz…you never know how much a kid is gonna blossom. Not many knew Keaton Waglers name this time last year. It’d be nice to get more of a sure thing though. Either a high end Euro, or more proven college portal guy.
Jamie Shaw now predicting Sherrell to IU
Basically every source I have is telling me that IU is getting Aiden Sherrell. The Hoosiers were ultra-aggressive, got Sherrell on campus and went above and beyond with the dollar amount they were willing to pay for him. In addition, the plan they laid out was one he liked and guys like Sisley, Burton, Mustaf and Harris are recruiting him to join them. I have been unable to confirm this is official but it does seem like we are on "commit watch" for Sherrell. Also, I'm confident the Hoosiers have enough money remaining to be add more good pieces.

@tjinman1987 time to get greedy. I really, really want IU to get Hall and Reibe. Any thoughts on if we’d have the remaining budget to get them and some more good depth pieces? We’d still need another rotation level big.

i think weaver is terrific. weaver, the free paramount+ subscription so i can watch cbs and then being able to look at other teams 247 boards are why i’m still there.
i was never there for basketball anyway but they’ve lost their fastball as agents and burners have gotten involved.
Couldn't agree more with the expectation for Sisley. A Frosh year with a fair amount of minutes gives a player an OJT exposure of the speed, size and physical play of the B1G. He made rook mistakes but showed skills he possesses also. If buds bloom he and Harris could be prominent performers. I'm not going to shy away from those 2.
Well, so far I like it. I'm in the North camp. Would like to see ONE dude who can go get his anytime we need him to. Sherrell would be close to this guy but sure would like one big STUD. Not sure who is left, who that would be, but I feel a lot better about things now, than this time last year.
agree. I'd also like to see that long lanky athletic wing. That is a good shooter. Maybe not elite.
This seems like a decent place to put this... Just an attempt to organize some thoughts on our potential main rotation, as we sign guys, and keep an updated list of needs.

Needs
Obviously Sherrell first and foremost. He slides in to the Forward/Big starting spot, and Sisley probably starts alongside him, pushing Moody to the bench. That starting 5 is pretty solid, at that point. A good PG, and a good big. And 3 solid wing/forwards.
Our biggest remaining need, would be more size and length. I'd like to see at least 2, if not 3, more guys that are able to guard, rebound, score, etc... in the B10, at the 4 and 5 positions. Reibe is a natural fit for this need. Also any good Euro player we might get in on.
After that, firepower on the perimeter. Any mentions with IU and either of the Mingo brothers? I know both will command a lot of attention, and money. And selling either of them, and Burton, to play alongside one another, would be a challenge. But man, a two lead guard lineup of Burton and the PSU Mingo... it could be incredible?! Pipe dream on that, I'm sure. So Jake Hall makes a lot of sense for this spot, as a more realistic option. I have a feeling Moody is going to be the freshman that forces his way in to the main rotation, so he could make this much less of a need.
A steady, solid, pass first, true backup PG would be nice as well. Would Clark accept that role?
Sherrell... then Reibe, Hall, high end foreign wing and/or big, High end guard like one of the Mingos... that's the remaining wishlist.
Burton, Harris at G, Sisley, Sherrill F and a serviceable post would be fair starting 5.
There has been confirmation that MSU was informed that Aiden Sherrell is not taking his visit to East Lansing. I don't know if he has officially committed to IU but that sure is a good sign. This would be well worth celebrating, if IU can make it official!
