According to the btown banners guys burton and sherrell are 100% done deals. So since those recruitments are over who does iu go after next?
Eerily quiet for a day with how many guys on campus, 3, 4? Im about to go dark myself watching the Masters for 5 straight hours.
Im not nearly as jacked about Burton as our PG, as many others are. But relative to where we’ve been recently, getting him would be a good sign, and I’d be excited about it. Burton, Mustaf, Harris would be a solid backcourt. But those expecting Burton to have a Landeborg, or even a Cadeau like impact, because of his numbers at ND, will be let down. He can score at all 3 levels, but he isn’t overly efficient at any of them. And he has never been a guy that “runs an offense”…not at Penn, not at ND. And he isn’t a very physical or effective lead defender. If he ends up as our PG, CDD will need to surround him with physicality, ball movers, and defenders…to compete with the upper half of the conference that is. Mustaf will help, haven’t seen enough of Harris to know if he would too.
But those expecting Burton to have a Landeborg, or even a Cadeau like impact, because of his numbers at ND, will be let down.
Its no different than the total hype over miles rice. He put up big numbers on a bad team and people thought he would be actotal stud at iu. I think he will be decent but yeah if your expecting yogi Ferrell be prepared yo be disappointed

You can't let him leave without a commitment. If he originally wanted $4M and is now insisting on $5M in order to commit you give it to him. Otherwise Duke will lock him up and we could be playing another Reed Bailey at the 5 again. Can't lose your entire season over a $1M. Get it done DD.

I think David Lee Roth agrees. After all the hype of him being a done deal losing him would send some guys over the edge I think.
