Luke Goode's Waiver is Denied

Surprising, because what I remember hearing originally was that Goode's camp was expecting the denial, and would then take it to court. Guess they were trying to use the NCAA's litany of court losses, against them. Which was smart, but they obviously thought the NCAA might learn from their past mistakes.

Too bad, about the only guy last year who I thought really cared about playing hard and winning. Leal to some degree. I think Goode would've helped this year.

@gr8iufan What IU Basketball is about is whatever CDD says it's about. He will set the cultural tone.

With Goode out, what are some of the remaining transfer options available?

@crazy-joe-devola Ain't that the truth.

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon

https://twitter.com/anthonyl3al/status/1945194045707337860?s=46 @hoosieralum07 ya this is a 100% fresh start now.  Leal is selling everything he has ever owned at IU.  lol.  Man this guy has no pride.

This is exactly why I didn't want him back.  He threw us 'true fans' under the bus and was only about the money.  He wanted a fifth or sixth year or whatever it was just so he could get that NIL money which was more than any real estate BS he could make. No pride.  Apparently it's not Indiana for him.

I didn't want him back (nobody should get 6 years) but would disagree on his work ethic. Would he take some easy money? Sure, probably. Who wouldn't? I don't blame him for trying.

He also finished a Kelley undergrad in 3 years, got a real-estate license and started working in that field, co-founded a tech business, continued to go to school and play basketball, and as I recall was often described as one of the hardest working players at practice.

He's not an elite college player, but not because he's lazy.

He also took his first NIL money and paid off his sister's student loans.

He lost quite a bit of the fan base with his comments on senior night (or least amongst those that listened).   That may lead to some of unfounded negative views that aren't entirely accurate.

I have no firsthand knowledge of his work ethic but he didn't make the team or get his minutes on pure talent/athletic ability so would say he looks to have a good work ethic.
