I like to one day hear honestly from writers what each and every one of you actually think. Not just here but on other sites as well. But you can't because you'll lose your access. Which sounds like censorship to me but ok. Maybe some of you "believe". But I'll bet some don't and they see what I see. But you have to paint a picture that's mostly devoid of opinion as to not fend off half the audience. To have blind faith or undying hope for what is clearly not up to par is to me mind numbing and naive. It's like believing in Santa Claus as a 50 year old. It's like the old swamp land reference, you believe this I got some swamp land for ya ... this coach is not going to turn this around. So lets further damage the brand, not use the football momentum and rinse and repeat. They can find the money , it sucks , it's a bitter pill but that's what I'd do. And I'd gather whomever the best minds are and find a coach. Someone who checks all the boxes, not just some of them. Hire one of those firms that provide the "clean up crew" to get companies out of BK or out of a free fall. Whatever is takes get it done. And stop entering into these contracts with huge buyouts. Structure based on performance like Cig... run it like the business it is. This isn't a charity ... DD got like a 2 m raise to come here for what ...he's paid more than Dusty May. For what at least Dusty had been to a FF. This guy won a couple MVC. Big deal.
The only way out of this is to offer Dan Hurley or Todd Golden $15 million/year with a minimum $20 million NIL budget. There is no way cheap way to becoming elite. Hiring A10 and MVC coaches doesn’t work.
