IU leads 30-23 at the final MTO of the first half...Wisconsin has only 23 points but I think there should be some level of concern because the Badgers are getting open looks and they are very capable of hitting those eventually plus Winter is getting whatever he wants. This is an important final 4 minutes for IU.
wisconsin is uncharacteristically bad
good to be ahead but could be a lot more
we've left too many pts out there
Up by 14 at one point and now it's only 7???? Yeeesh.
Feel like IU left the door open there after Enright went out with his second PF
The Hoosiers lead 36-30 at the half. Surprisingly, neither team had a single free throw attempt in the first half (knowing Big Ten refs, that will change significantly). The offense really stalled when Enright went to the bench with his second foul and Wisconsin is a high-powered offensive team that can score in a hurry so Indiana will need to pick the attack back up for the second 20 minutes. Huge second half upcoming for IU's season.
@mattstcharles21 IU's weakness is they foul too much. They can't keep up defensively without fouling. There is a major talent disparity they have to work real hard to overcome. I still love them and like the style of play on offense. They just need some big guys down low to take pressure off the shooters.
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
Nothing comes easy.
Lets GOOOoooooooOOOO HOOSIERS!
@vanpastorman Totally agree, but that was one of their better halves in terms of fouling. 5 total PFs albeit Wisconsin plays just like IU and puts no pressure on the rim, so it makes sense nobody shot a FT in the first half.
At the half, Indiana honored the 1974-1975 team which went undefeated in Big Ten play (winning the conference by 6 games) and made a run in the tournament before losing to Kentucky in the Elite 8. Members of the team were presented with commemorative Big Ten champions rings.
@drjb I don't think they are "bad"...they are 8-3 in the Big Ten, are projected to safely make the NCAA Tournament right now and have a win over Michigan. That written, this is a game IU needs to win at home, no doubt about that.
Conor Enright is bullying Nick Boyd and just taking him to the basket and Sam Alexis has a strong start to the 2nd half as well. IU leads 44-34 but Wilkerson did just get his 2nd foul.

"uncharacteristically" bad.....this is not the Wisconsin team we are used to seeing
if we do let this one get away it will be devastating
inexcusable by Bailey
Indiana extends the lead to 13 as Tucker DeVries with six straight points...Reed Bailey enters the game and commits a really bad foul on Nolan Winter as he's shooting a three. Hopefully that is not a turning point.
Both teams are scoring at a high clip, IU leads 56-46 with 10:34 left.
