A home game/win wouldn’t help much- at least if we can win some. They will be neutral site wins- if anyone wants to sell their tickets, let me know! Son is attending this fall so I would gladly make the trip a few times
We will have UK at home next season! And if they are making money, good! Helps with paying for the next team!
They are away from AH. I get the point you want to make but playing in a different environment is experiencing an away game.
@hoosier-clarion sure, but you don’t need 5 to tell if this team is tough enough.

This is a good game.
Seems to me this indicates Coach's philosophy is to play some better competition. Not load up completely with cupcakes. And on a shorter time frame these games were the best fit Dolson could find.
We likely build up goodwill to maybe get some more dates or home and homes in the future.
@openwheel It's a good game on paper and hopefully to watch. For a fan base that has a portion of it checked out, I call these "Check-In" games. People will watch this one and UK and determine how invested they'll be the rest of the year. IU needs to win some of these games.

As you've already stated there are IU fans in that region who will be energized for an opportunity to attend a game in person. For that reason alone it is in the column of positive. Easy move for me to agree with. Honestly Sammy I do understand your beef so no real argument from me.
@hoosier-clarion IU does play at Rutgers regularly and maybe moving that game to MSG would be an idea to get the fan base activated, but it's a nice stage for IU. Just stinks for the season ticket holders. I get why they are doing it, I am just not a fan. Win and nobody really complains though.

We have to win some or most of these type games. That's why I like it.
We would not be adding these if Coach hadn't given his OK. Instead we'd be playing sisters of the poor.
I prefer a coach and AD who like a reasonable number of OofC challenges. For one thing, it gets the players mentally involved in practice. That should aid learning and team development.
Yes, in the long run it would be good if our toughest non-con games were at least home and home. And more of the one-offs at home also. I'm sure that will happen. They needed to explode Coach Woodson's ideal schedule and shape it toward what Coach Devries wants. Maybe Coach Devries has an eye toward HS recruiting. Unlike... nvm lol
Do I go to MSG for this game, or do I watch it from the comfort of home?
@doggy1 what do you think?
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@hooky I hate NYC like poison. Let’s watch it in Key West, after a day of fishin…
I like that better

@hooky I’ll add, the mere fact that I didn’t walk into this site as a Famed member is, well….UNAMERICAN!
GOAT SHITPOSTER
@doggy1 you gotta get back your roots and put in the work. I'm in here every morning at 6. Not another soul in the place. But I'm practicing my posting, pushing myself while no one is watching. Hitting the wall and pushing through to be the best poster possible.
Plus I talk a lot of shit in the cooler.
