@hoosiers94 I think the right mentality is there for the first time in a long time. Tayton Conerway is a dog who brings everything this team needs in terms of distribution, command of offense, and perimeter defense. We finally have shooters who are actually shooters and can make 3's at a high clip. We have a modern offense in place that strives to be efficient, pacey, and smart. We have strong guard play. We have strong guard play. We have strong guard play. We have guys who can create their own shot.
Nothing is perfect and of course we need to execute, but the pieces, philosophy, and mentality are here.

I agree on paper we have these things. I believe CDD is bringing a much more modern system that could allow for better opportunities across the board as a program. What I don't buy yet is that all of these players are going to translate from mid major to Big Ten ready. Some may. But some may not. I agree it's not harmful to be optimistic but at this point I will wait to see it when it counts. Watching practice can only give you so much ... cause they are playing against themselves and we don't know how good or bad themselves is in relation to our competition. What we also don't know yet is how the Chemistry is. Yes we have PR to look at.. but what will it be like under adversity. It's easy to like one another when all is going well. How will the interact when they are being pushed by the likes of Kentucky , Michigan, etc. and at that juncture I've been suckered into so many bill of goods over the years pardon my jaded outlook. But I will believe when I see the W's piling up or at least some fight and improvement along the way... but you keep on keeping on.. don't let me tarnish your excitement. I get it. I once had it. Now am I more confident in this team than one lead by Bigfoot .. yes I am. However even Bigfoot teams had players I knew and knew how they would react etc. this team is really an unknown except maybe DeVries
