Duke has this new era all figured out! As if they needed any advantages- they signed a deal w Amazon- and the catch, Amazon will pay players for doing ads for games!
based on nil and “fair market value”, Amazon, being global, can pay these guys whatever! This changes the game and I see more school doing this stuff-

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying "that was f***ing awesome"

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon

Take it to the WBB forum.
@ge-off I saw this and it leads to a question. They have to get other teams to agree to play in these games. Will they get teams to agree to these games if they aren’t getting a piece of the pie? I saw that they have three games this year under this agreement. Did their opponents know about the agreement?
@mis01 Good questions - I assumed both teams participating get something - I highly doubt Michigan agreed to play this game and not get the same ad opportunities or some of the $$?
@ge-off the story I saw on ESPNs site only mentioned Duke’s players getting NIL money from it. I also got the impression these neutral site games had already been scheduled before the deal was announced

Not sure about Mich, but the B1G has already disputed the game saying they own the broadcast rights.
