@tammany Enright is atrocious, we will see on Bailey, but if we gave him a million bucks that person should be shamed. That is ludicrous.
Absolutely doomed. Season over.
Devries just talked a bunch about transfers that can fit his culture. I suggest I'm gonna enjoy that culture play relentlessly. I've got no beef with this 1st roster.
I didn't want Enright much, when people were touting him as a possible portal get like it was a big deal. But he's a depth piece. He knows DeVries and his systems and plays. That's a positive.
Coach DeVries wanted him. He knows what he needs. It's not going to be 'WOW! This Big Ten is some level of NCAA basketball I wasn't aware of!"

@tammany if Connor plays more than 20 a game you betcha. We are F$&&@&. I mean he sucked at DePaul
Yes, just amazing the criticism has already started. All we heard last year was CMW had to go and couldn't coach. And now before the season even starts there is criticism of CDD and his decisions. Maybe some.should just walk away from being IU fans.
When it comes to read Bailey, I would have three thoughts:
1. Msybe he was the best we could get with height. Will he be a world beater? No. But will he be a decent piece to the puzzle? I think so.
2. With the two previous staffs, I would be worried that Bailey could be integrated into a competent system. I think Coach Devries will be able to adapt his system to meet what the players skillet has to offer. Novel concept I know!
3. I can’t really say I’m gonna be moved one way or the other on how much each individual player makes on THIS team. We had a load of cash to offer. If he was the best big we could get, I’m not really concerned with how much he is set to make. A little bit extra wasn’t gonna prohibit us from assembling a roster elsewhere anyway.
@cavanagh Time will tell. His best attribute, for IU and the B10, will be his ability to handle the ball on the perimeter, and comfortably catch and pass the ball out of the pinch and mid post areas. I don't think we're going to see any sort of major improvement, from him, on his defense and rebounding. So yes, for sure, in some games and in some matchups, he's going to look bad on that end of the floor. But on the other end, if our offense is efficient, and guys like Wilkerson and DeVries have good years, Bailey will likely be a part of that. We've longed for a big that could do those things, and be functional in a modern, spread out offense, for a few years. He does a lot of those modern things, well.
Million bucks for a really skilled big that doesn't defend well, is an average rebounder... not sure what the overall market actually is? Seems too high to me as well. But I know of NAIA players getting 6 figures... so upper 6 figures to 7 figures for a proven D1, near 7 foot, smaller school all conference level big??? Might not be too far off his market value.
We need to surround him with length... and then need Alexis to play a lot too.
It's Alabama A&M.
As the season progresses if the team is decent or better we'll have plenty of fan support.
Fans walked because of Archie and especially Woodson, and the admin tolerating it far too long.
Theyll return because we have a good coach and program builder. And the team will become strong.
So we wont likely win the NCAA this year... Waah!

I think im just real salty because PU is such a good program. AND I HATE THEM
It's a hard reset of the program in my opinion and it may take awhile to get people back. Winning games cures everything and IU fans always show up for big games, but IU has a lot to repair with the fans.
It also doesn't help that I can get a better view of the game from my couch than 1/2 the seats in the arena.
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
@thehoosierhuddle just sold tomorrows bleacher seats for 75 bucks each. That isn’t even face value. Insanity.
Cav you surprise me. How can you be thinking it's insanity when the seats aren't worth face value to you. I'm not looking for a B1G championship either but effort, energy, good game planning with pertinent in game adjustments are size able advancements from our recent past. Fans will respond positively to that during this 1st season.
