D### that was fun.

May have been 'soft' attendance compared to a packed house, but a big thank you to all you Hoosier fans who were there. Place was rocking on TV!

The high level recruits we need for the future will take notice.

I think we have a coach! Give him time to do his thing of course, but no reason we can't have a good time this year.

@thehoosierhuddle I know, I just sort of do it for yucks or habit. I've seen it irritate some people on reddit LOL "You're saying damn, even if you blank it out!"

I don't know why so much angst about Enright. He's just a chess piece. OK, just a lowly pawn so what. The fact that he is rarely shooting shows he is trying to fit into the role coach has for him.

He doesn't suck. We've had one or two in recent years who thought they were guards and did suck. Enright's just not going to be a scorer, and a below average defender too. But he doesn't suck

I notice nobody at all is looking to give him the ball, yet somehow he ends up with it and gets it to other guys. He wouldn't get the ball if he sucked, he's creating some of that.

The team needs guys like Nick Dorn and Josh Harris on the court as at this time lack of depth is a problem.

@bigmike sounds. Like Dorn is close. Harris may be in December. You’re correct this team needs that depth and Dorn’s length

@cavanagh maybe, but 1) I don't believe he had anything to do with getting Reed Bailey, that was all CDD, and 2) I think Bailey will help us on the offensive end. I think he'll end up being one of the best ball-handling and passing bigs in recent memory.

@openwheel I don't think Enright will even be a below average defender. If he is, then I think he will be a miss. I think his problem is he's starting right now due to injuries/depth and he was intended to be a culture/locker room guy, run the 2nd team and spell Connerway. If that's where he ends up, I think he can contribute and will not be a miss or a liability.

@iunorth managing a high level D1 program is such a huge part of the equation, and it has stumped some really great bench coaches like Monson, Lickliter, et al. Will it stump McCollum too? Who knows, but even if it's only 1 year, DeVries at least has shown he can manage it. My biggest hope that we got the right guy rests in that Dolson made the hire. Maybe he got lucky with Cig, but whether luck or intuition obviously he struck gold. Hoping he just recognizes talent and has done it again with CDD.

@kkott I think WVU is probably closer to Drake in terms of all the added pressures, elite program dynamics, expectations, etc... than it is to IU.  He did turn a P4 program around immediately though, on the basketball court, with 2 of his better players missing most or all of the season.  There can be zero question on whether or not CDD is a good basketball coach, he is.  How good will he be at IU?  Obviously that's the question.
