but again not playing at Indiana thanks to Bigfoot and QB.
Imagine Braylon Mullins being coached by Dusty May…at Indiana. It was so possible if morons weren’t running things.
@iugradman I hate chiming in on this- but, Dusty wasn’t interested in IU- believe me or not.
Funny how the culture in IU football is excellent yet basketball is so toxic an alum of the university wanted no part of it.
@ge-off I don't know anything, but I think he would have been interested the year before... but yes, once he went to Meatchicken, he was not going to leave. And especially not in conference. And especially not after one year.
Ha- not bc it’s toxic-
Could Braylon Mullins not have played for Dusty May at Michigan? Because Dusty May was never going to be the coach at Indiana. You and others need to get this through your skulls. He wasn't coming. Not last year. Not the year before.Imagine Braylon Mullins being coached by Dusty May…at Indiana. It was so possible if morons weren’t running things.
@gros-louis This is certainly the info that I have. The people I heard it from, definitely would know. But the only variable that they can't, and really no one can verify...if IU had actually fired Woodson, and went "all in" on May... what would he have done? I'm pretty confident one of the reasons Woodson was retained was May said he wasn't interested. But its very possible he said that because we still had a coach at the time of the conversations.
Woodson still being employed had nothing to do with it. He wasn't coming here with his family so close.@gros-louis This is certainly the info that I have. Why wouldn’t he want to be close to his family?

We have no idea. If they had fired woodson and made a serious run with big money you cannot say 100% he would not have come.
@gros-louis Yeah, that sounded like one of the main reasons used. But there's no way to know what he would have decided if we had fired Woodson, and showed up at his front door with 10+million reasons to figure the family thing out. It was really never an actual decision, on May's part, as IU still had a basketball coach.
But you're right... the narrative most IU fans have going isn't remotely accurate. We didn't miss on a guy we'd definitely have had, in May, at any point. We did miss on giving it an actual chance though.
No, actually, you can. He had no interest in coming to Indiana with family in the vicinity (especially his mom) and his in-laws.Woodson still being employed had nothing to do with it. Dusty doesn't value money more than he values family peace and happiness. If we were talking $10M vs $500k, maybe. But he's making generational money already and he's not going to sacrifice one for the other.@gros-louis Yeah, that sounded like one of the main reasons used.
