Meh, Bill had 10 SEC teams ranked in the top 17 last preseason as well. Those preseason metrics skew the polls. I get the frustration because Michigan is clearly better than Bama. Also, am I reading that chart wrong? The B1G doesnt look to be the top 3, but maybe im wrong?

Top 3 the way he did the chart. The B1G is #1, #2, and #5.
My issue is the non-stop ESPN conspiracy stuff. Sometimes, it's warranted. Sometimes, it goes a bit far. I'm not saying Bill is perfect, but he's not being pressured to adjust his model to make the SEC look good.
Mine was just a slam on ESPN, which I usually won't miss an opportunity. No, I don't think he changes his formula around to suit them. But if it makes the SEC look good it will be front page, when it doesn't, probably below the fold.
