@thehoosierhuddle maybe his question is related to your comment that IU scored 200 points in TWO fcs games………I know we blew them out but your math may be off
@iugrad84 yes, way off. It was 150. Good catch. 77-3 and 73-0
@thehoosierhuddle Sorry about that. Yes, I noticed the point total listed.
@esalum86 no worries. It just looked like you hit reply before finished typing

Who's that logo in the far lower right of all the major conferences. Sort of sad and faded and washed out, I can't quite make it out.
Why, it couldn’t be the team that took a shot “at a team to the south of them” for backing out of a game last yr to schedule a weaker opponent, could it?
This chart just SCREAMS SEC bias. Look at the B1G after IU vs. the SEC after the always overrated Texas Longhorns. Obviously they pay no attention to previous results in the most recent bowl seasons as well as coaching and roster changes. Tired of this ish.
Eh, Bill Connelly has been doing SP+ for a long time. He's a solid analyst and he's open about how his model works.
But he mainly writes for ESPN.
He knows which side his bread is buttered on.
,
Do we need to do the ESPN conspiracy for everything? It’s just SP+. And the B1G is in the top three spots.
I think it has some, not a ton, of validity. Echo chamber.
I guess we can go check Sp+ through 2024 and at the beginning of 2025 or early. Was he a champion predicting the SECs decline? Was he early about our rise? Maybe he was?
Seemed like ESPN long had us far down and much of the SEC way up. Maybe they dont use SP+. Or, maybe it just isnt so great and looks too much in the rear view mirror.
It's just Bill Connelly's model. He's been doing it for almost 20 years and he's worked for different places. It's pretty good. That's it.
