Regarding the secondary, we basically haven’t seen them at full strength at all so far this season. Let’s see what they look like with Harris out there first before rendering a final verdict.
Hoover is no Mendoza, that’s for sure. Marsh is no Cooper or even Sarratt.
Tight end is a dead hole. Oline gets pushed around way too much. Secondary is awful.

Marsh has been quite good. People aren’t paying attention.
2025 was almost certainty once in a lifetime, it’s a standout season in all of CFB history. But nothing has happened that indicates we can’t have more exciting seasons with Cig here.

I was wrong on our secondary, so far ... I said 'by committee' we'd be good. Ouch on last night. Of course, we did see good coverage on many plays, but Chiles was often able to extend those anyway. And some had to just be missed communication.
Because there is talent. Teams have often shown ability to find holes in our zone but when Haines adjusts during games or practice they have closed down.Lot of big holes in the z one last night.
Haines has a lot of work to do! The good thing is, our coaches are good.
Not too sure why the line doesn't get push. A good line. Shanahan has to adjust. Linebackers were filling the right hole almost every time!
last night the were over running the pocket. They got pressure on him but they over ran him.
I think IUFB transitioned last night. They dealt with adversity, misfires and the obvious challenge teams will be prepared for us this seasorn and give their best. Hoover is maybe working to hard not to being intercepted. Playing too safe is what I see. But no TO's against NW was solid sign of concentration. But too many penalties is the other side of the coin. It's progressing on the + side but not by last seasons schedule. Rutgers comes at the right time. Practice will be most thorough this week + a day.
KJ Duff is gonna be a real problem for this secondary…

People around town sound like Hoosier fans of old. I used to hate going to games and listening to the negativity in the stands.
I have faith in Cig. I mean we are 30-2 since he came. We just haven’t clicked yet. The talent is there, we just aren’t playing to our potential, yet!
