I want them undefeated.
I want them undefeated.
agree.
watching them tonight it will be awfully difficult to take them down
esp. at their place
- Yes, don't want them with a loss. So glad we have a bye next week. They are good, no need to give them more motivation.
Unfortunately, Oregon has a bye next week too.
Just keep it somewhat competitive. Almost no team in the country would be favored in Eugene.
If we can be competitive in Eugene… that’s enough. As in we need to keep punching even if we get down.
Not trying to be a wuss with “moral victories,” but let’s be honest, this is an extremely hard game (maybe the hardest game in CFB right now) against a roster that cost 2x ours.
But hey… if we keep punching… punchers have a chance…
I wanted them undefeated. I think Iowa was a good experience pre-Oregon. It will be difficult for sure.
Shanahan and Cignetti can’t go into turtle mode again. Attack and be the aggressor.
Iowa was the very best prep for ducks. Our OL and DL found out about what it takes to beat a well coached outfit at home. But Oregon beating NL in Happy Valley sharpened their steel too. I stay satisfied Cignetti knows the levers to pull and buttons to push to rise up to winning in autzen.
The athleticism on display between Oregon and Penn State would have been daunting, if we were ever daunted.
The pad pops were loud with 210 lb guys closing and hitting with the speed of 180 lb guys. Or 260 lb guys closing with the speed of 225 lb guys. Oregon has speed and power.
Still, I like our puncher's chances. Should be a great game. We can hang. Iowa will help the coaches think through our protections and be ready.
@iugradman Yep we need to take chances. Only way to win a game like this.
