Great game to gain some grit. I for one think this win helps much more than IL. Got to learn how to deal with adversity. Cig has these dudes wired right. So fun to watch.
Football school!!!!!
@cavanagh A lot of positives yesterday, but I did not think Cig and the staff coached a great game. But to go into that place and gut out a win is impressive.

@thehoosierhuddle Cig should have kicked the field goal, especially on the road. Take what the defense gives you on the road.
BEAT PURDUE
@irregulars It’s not only that. I’m fine going for it, but you’re right too. But the delay of game coming off a KO, the wasted time out with 6 seconds left in the 3rd. Just things we normally don’t see

I haven't seen any 'time to use the play I saved in my hip pocket for this situation' for crucial short yardage in two years from Shanahan.
HOPE WE ARE SAVING THEM FOR OREGON.
I expected Mendoza to keep and run a bootleg against Iowa.
But never see it. One time last year we faked and threw a short pass to Sarratt (or Coop, can't remember) on a key 4th down. But sure seems rare.
@openwheel There were plenty of misreads by Mendoza is the QB keep game Saturday. I just don't think the game plan was great. Iowa couldn't stop IU's receivers. However, they did time up the snap count fairly early on, which should be changed as well. I don't think they were "saving" anything. I just thought it was a poorly called game. It happens. Hopefully it changes, but we'll see.
