@mis01 I believe the injunction says the NCAA can’t punish TT, but since the CFP is different it can.

AP voters and coaches should refuse to vote for them in the polls.

NIL. They paid him and they absolutely want him to play. They don’t want to pay him sittings the bench. This might get ugly enough for them to pay him to go away. How ugly? 🤷🏻‍♂️

@openwheel as hard as they have pushed I’d assume the money is legally his. Nil isn’t pay for play. 😉

@d-b-cooper There has to be some protections in these contracts for the schools. If not, they are complete morons and deserve to be out the money

@thehoosierhuddle I don’t think it’s allowed in some cases. Like no contingency if he’s not eligible etc…it’s not “pay for play” correct? I assume it depends on the states NIL laws. Very nuanced. Will be interesting if his contract ever comes out.

Most NIL deals have stuff like requiring the player be NCAA eligible.

That’s not requiring a player to play for a school.

Same as requiring they’re not in jail, etc.

Now, TTU has the issue they worked to get him eligible… so…

@tammany it’s strange they did that. Doesn’t make any sense unless they wanted their moneys worth. Jmo

TTU doesnt care about paying him at all.

This is what the Chair of their board of regents, also daddy warbucks, Cody Campbell had to say about paying Sorsby $5m:

@hoosierdaddy Yep.

I've really had enough of Cody.  I don't mind a rich dude bankrolling a program, that's part of the game, but he never shuts the hell up.  Also pretending to want to "save college sports" when he obviously only cares about TTU is tiresome.

Man I hope this appeal date is somehow scheduled in time to reverse this nonsense.

@tammany

the appeal date is already set for after the season ends in February. The only way Sorsby doesn’t take the field at this point is if we put enough pressure on TTU to make them cut him from the team
