Fantastic news.

People need to remember that he's not going to be ready for the start of the season.

He's definitely be a welcome addition.

"He' now could mean Daley or Wyatt in the thread. LOL

Wyatt almost deserved a redshirt. Instead of the old 4 games out of 10 or 11, he played just 7 games, of 16 . I hope both are healthy by at least mid season. I assume strongly expected or we could have looked at any remaining portal guys.

Daley's injury, I was told many players never come back from athletically. But then others told me that no, with modern surgery, they can regain full use and power. And saw speculation that hed be fully healed ready to go even for the NFL by December. Maybe that timeline has accelerated.

even if he isn't available until december, that still means 3 or 4 games Smile

@thehoosierhuddle What exactly is his health situation right now? And the same question for Wyatt too if he's trending toward a return.

Edit: Just saw a clip of our new #9 doing a drill. Cat quick reflexes getting off the ball. Pretty remarkable recovery. Pat Kuntz/Bryant Haines are going to have a lot of fun with all these very high end defensive linemen.

Apparently there's a video of him working out recently where he was going at it pretty hard.

Edit....sorry, didn't see email above.

If wyatt returns, then that is insane depth and competition on the line.

If Wyatt also comes back, that's 6 legit proven guys at the DE and STUD positions.....the 2 KS guys, Barnum, Daily, Wyatt, Ndukew + Burris, who looks like a real stud + Landino has occasionally played outside as well.  I hope we don't lose any of those guys.  I would think we might lose 1 or 2 of the promising younger talent.  I know there's no one better able to deal with it than CIG, but it's a concern...........We have to have something to sorry about, right?

Got a lot of Daly questions at Cignetti's presser today.

Nobody with the cajones to ask if he has outlawed high fives, lol.

Old white guy finger point needs to be the standard.

@mushroomgod Wonder if this had anything to do with Triston Abram transferring out. DE is super deep, if Wyatt is back thats 6 deep with veteran players. Even in blowouts the young guys wont get snaps.

I'm not counting on much from Wyatt and Daley, until very late in the year if at all. Nobody ever seems quite right coming off both those types of injury when it's just one year or even less. And for Daley, heard some negative talk about top athletes not getting back their former power in the leg.

I hope so. But just not counting on the same level of performance.  The fact Daley is cleared some practice, so soon, is promising though. At least for his future. And maybe Wyatt's wasn't as severe as some of his type, but they knew quickly at the time he was done for the season.

Fingers crossed. They will be good mentors and inspiration at the very least.

Daley back and rehabbing is great news and keeps him focused on the NFL.  After the injury and missing the combine, I feared he was done with football.  This increases his chances of getting to a camp.
