I saw yesterday he was hurt the day before at Niners practice.  Just saw it was an ACL.

Absolutely sucks for the guy.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

Did you see the reason?  I hadn't heard anything.

Very sad news.  Hopefully he can recover.

Totally OT, but I thought Kamara put on less healthy weight heading into last year, to bulk up. He was better when he was lean, he was powerful and fast then. Not when he weighed more and was stronger but now had a gut.

Last I saw of some NFL pics from early mini camps (I assume) though, he was looking leaner again. An injury like this is a real shame. Might not get a legit chance anymore even if he recovers.

Talk about a kid that could help on a GA capacity given his knowledge of what those DEs have to do in this defense. He trains while edges benefit from his tutelage!

I hope he bounces back to give himself a shot at the league!

@evillehoosier8

With what I've been told by former GAs and their workload, I don't think it's particularly practical for him to do that while simultaneously trying to rehab for a shot at the NFL.

Whatever the value of my opinion, I would try first to make an NFL dream come true and if that doesn't pan out, to call in some favors to Cig and/or Haines to try and get into the coaching profession if he's got an interest in that.  Cig has kept the staff together really well with the upgrades in pay, but they're going to start getting poached sooner than later.  Would be nice to be able to nestle under that coaching tree and start a career.

@tmft fair, I was more just spitballing in my fit of insomnia. I just hate that he’s probably now going to have to really scrape to find a chance. Talk about a guy that just flat got it done for us and who’s presence helped the other side of the line greatly.
