Exactly... and, with the exception of Maryland, I think that goes for any school below the Mason-Dixon line.

Probably 7-8 , 1st place votes from the Big Ten, the rest top 5. Then a few top 20 votes from the SEC.

SEC coaches probably have an agreement to include no less than 8 SEC teams in their top 10.  Have to keep up the bias

@openwheel only 7 BT coaches in the poll (including Cig) - I assume Day didn’t vote for IU #1. Curious where the IU first place votes came from

Needs an audit to shame programs/coaches that don't know a lick about this IU team and voted the Hoosiers outside the top 10.

Also, Indiana with as many first place votes as Georgia, Texas, and Notre Dame combined.
