The week before, Harris getting in for about a third of the snaps looked like it helped us. This game everybody looked improved. Looked like the veterans Sharpe and Ferrell decided it was time to play. I felt each guy hadn't looked so great this year, but the previous couple games heading into this one they looked better.I'm surprised none of you guys have mentioned how good our much maligned secondary played.
I can't go to any football site on the net this week without seeing Ohio State fans posting pictures of tight coverage on Smith and crying that the refs tilted the field our way. And I guess the hold not called on the final play to Marsh means that Ohio State didn't blatently hold the entire game. I should start posting pictures of the holds on Becker too. Except it would be impossible to match the amount of bitching from OSU fans. And that's in a win.
@jj_mcclure Were you at the game, or watching TV? They showed his shoulder slumping and him wincing after throws after he was hit. Definitely was hurting, even if he fought through it.
@kkott I’m on vacation and Saturday was one of our travel days. So I was glancing down at my phone periodically watching on YouTube TV with no sound while simultaneously listening to Don’s broadcast on SiriusXM. Buck thought he looked fine and I didn’t visually see any of the things you’re describing persistently after he eventually came back in, but I’ll concede I could have missed it under the circumstances.
@jj_mcclure Very visibly bothered and dangling his shoulder for a bit. Then went in to the tent, and didn't show the same visible discomfort after being in the tent. Mr. Miagi must have been in there.
Maybe the trainers from North Dallas Forty were consulted. 'Better football through chemistry'.
(Just a joke, I know Indiana takes care of our players in a positive way.)
Nothing wrong with using topical pain treatment and an added pain patch. There certainly was a difference after he came out of the tent. That is the 2nd time Hoover showed he's a tough sombitch. He's also lovin being a Hoosier.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@thehoosierhuddle I put $100 on the Hoosiers to win it all and take home $1050. The early cash out has been between $75-$78 for the last couple of weeks. After the game on Saturday, it went up to $100. I figure one more loss and they'll bump it up to $150.
Somebody speculated that the misfires where he misses easy throw by yards, mostly sailing them, was because of a lingering injury.
Even though he has done that since the beginning of the season and nearly every game. But, that's the rumor somebody put out there.
He clearly got hurt in the game though. But once he got back in, he looked better than earlier. Hopefully the game injury heals up quickly. He looked fine.
When I go to games I sit 22 rows up on the SW side........in one of the NC games (can't recall which) Hoover came out after one series and showed some discomfort with his hand or arm.....looked like he was having an issue gripping the ball. I believe he went back in, and nothing was made of it after the game, but I think the OSU injury was similar.....so it may be a chronic problem that is getting covered up at present....it was significant enough at the time that I said to my companion "Hoover's hurt".
