I watched that Ole Miss/UGA game. I was pulling for OM to win, but without Chambliss that team is very average. So many missed tackles and assignments on defense. Chambliss’s mobility allowed him to extend plays and he made huge plays out of nothing. They need to hope Chambliss remains healthy, because if he goes down that team is in trouble. I think his scrambling ability neutralizes Miami’s biggest strength which is their DL. Chambliss is the only part of OM that worries me as we have struggled with mobile QBs a bit this season. I really can’t decide who I’d rather play though, because other than Chambliss they were hard to watch in that game. The pressure Miami was able to get on Sayin was a worry too. Im leaning towards a preference for Ole Miss just because of how bad their defense looked at multiple times against UGA, but Chambliss does make me nervous. I think we could win a bit more comfortably against them. I’m thinking something like 45-21.

For Miami, I think they were fortunate that OSU didn’t have another half quarter. When they finally knocked the rust off and started coming back it felt almost certain OSU was going to win. I give Miami credit that they were able to get that last first down to essentially ice it which forced OSU to let them score the final TD. With that said, I don’t think IU would start the game nearly as rusty as OSU. While I don’t think we would blow Miami out (barring a few turnovers from Carson Beck) I think as long as we take care of the football we could win a low scoring game comfortably. I’m thinking a 13-3 or 17-3 type game with a late TD or FG to ice it if both sides play clean on offense.

@d-b-cooper I agree. If they get their WRs healthy they’re dangerous

I think this Oregon team we play in the Peach Bowl will be our toughest opponent of the year. Here’s hoping Atlanta looks like Bloomington-South.

@bradstevens I want to see if Evan Stewart returns for Oregon. He's the best WR and has been out all year with an injury. He has been working his way back.

Numerous people argued that Alabama getting healthy meant they would be a huge problem for IU.

I get the fear but I'm telling you guys, they are just a younger, less experienced version of IU.  IU is playing at an insane level.  Teams have NO room for mistakes. Oregon will 100% make mistakes. Their offense could only muster 1 TD on a busted coverage, early in the game....at home.   IU wins this game and wins it convincingly....again.

@yothn I agree with you. On paper, we should win the game convincingly, but we have to show up and do our part just as we have done consistently for most of the season. The fact that we beat them on their home field with several procedural penalties that should have been called against them as well as the missed holding and PI calls we should be able to get this one even more favorably than the first. There are a lot of IU alumni in ATL and the drive is only like 8 hours. So, very favorable situation for Indiana here. I’d be surprised if we lost, but not shocked. Oregon is still a very talented team and is very capable of pulling the upset if we don’t play a clean game. I have the utmost confidence in Cig though which helps minimize my concern.

I feel good. I can never get too confident, it somehow still always feels wrong, as if overconfident.

Oregon is playing well. Dante Moore looks more polished to me just checking highlights of games.

Agree though, we made mistakes last game and it took awhile to get some calls. Plus maybe even ONE of those bullshit hand fakes by their D-line will be properly called this time!

So I feel good. But you never know. The football can bounce funny.
