@ribbont From what I heard it was a devastating leg injury, I do not know for sure. The coaches took him off the roster to preserve a year so when he returns he'll be a RS Freshman. Sounds like rehab is going well. It's been silence because it's injury related and the there are a million other stories. I am sure more will come out when the seasons over.

Looks like a fan trying to throw $hit at the wall to see if it will stick. Unless I see a legit reporter say it I don’t buy it although anyone who has read my messages knows I’m high on this guy and would love to have him on the roster. He also said he wouldn’t be giving his future any thought until season is over. I know that’s probably not reality, but even if he is actually thinking about it I don’t think he is going to leak it to some random guy to post on Twitter. Also, since he isn’t in the portal IU can’t contact him and I don’t see Cig as a guy who will bend the rules. This is the type of backup we should be aiming for. The only concerning aspect of his game is the only 2 tough games Drew played in, he totaled 6 INTs. Could just be a lack of support or coincidence but thats a lot.
I really enjoy watching college football, especially IU, I do not care about conferences other than the Big ten/18. I am retired from public accounting and when I see some of these twitter posts, it looks like marketing to me. Marketing/public relations, to me is just BS. As MANY others have said, until someone signs on the dotted line, it is not real. Cig is finishing his second year and recruiting his third class. Building for the future. He knows what he needs to succeed long term, let him do it. I really enjoy Boogie's input, from a recruiting perspective. Maybe I am past my prime, and I am, but I watch for enjoyment, and this season has been beyond my dreams. I can appreciate all of you that are "avid" IU fans and live and die by it, but I would offer for your consideration to step back and observe and see what is happening. The stress and anxiety is not worth it.

I certainly can't speak for others but recruiting doesn't stress me out. I simply get excited at the idea. At this point, everyone trusts Cig and staff but recruiting gives us another reason/topic to talk over. Its part of everything I enjoy about the sport/team.
@yothn I agree with both of you. Unfortunately the calendar has changed and blurred the season with portal recruiting and all of that. However, I don’t stress over it, well may be keeping up coverage.

No offense to our hosts, but if Boogie says it, you can take it to the bank. I have no idea where his info comes from, but it's always on the money. Johnsy Rick on the old site was another who knew his shit.
@yothn A few things. 1. He will not be a back up. 2. IU will not be spending $3million on a backup 3. He's a statue, IU's offense is better with a guy who can use their feet more.

I saw the tweet i think you're referring to... I don't think it's factual.
The dude said we're offering north of $3 million. I highly doubt that's the case.
I do think he ends up at Okie State, following his coach there. I'd love to have the kid, but I just don't see it happen (I've been wrong before, so don't take this as gospel).
