@mushroomgod I’d be surprised if Kelly takes that job. He hated being a head coach. He just wants to be a play caller..at least that’s what’s been reported numerous times anyway.
edit:sounds like it’s Brian Kelly not chip kelly.
Chip was the name I saw. It does sound like it would be a lot of uphill sledding and aggravation for someone 62 years old......and in his case, unlike Cig, it doesn't seem like he's a 'youthful' 62 years old.
PS, I have heard Rutgers' fans on podcasts talking about Brian K. as a possibility if G.S. gets canned.
@gros-louis Damn. The thing I read only said he was a local guy who had coached at Friendship Academy (?) in DC before joining the Terps. I guess they left out everything in between.

Brian Kelly is like a Steve Alford for college football, and on a national scale. Name comes up for every job, usually as a joke, and most of the rest of the fanbase laughs.
Comes up enough for Rutgers, maybe there's actual smoke now.
But I think Rutgers would be foolish to can Schiano.

He's a horrible person, and I'd never want him as a coach for a team I supported.....but the 3 or 4 Rutgers guys I heard talking about him were for it.....essentially saying Rutger's was in such a hole that they'd hold their nose because they thought he could win there.
My observation of BK has always been he's a weirdo and a universal liar. Remember the scissor lift tragedy on the practice field. He's a scum also.

Most D1 football coaches have those tendencies.
@hoosier-clarion I will never forget the cringe when he was at LSU with a recruit doing a video and faking a southern drawl.

He's probably watching The Wire, working on his regional accent, while learning everything he can about crab cakes and pit beef.

Any good Maryland portal O-Line prospects to earmark for Dec?
Let's keep the Wyatt and Hemby pipeline going by cherry picking their best.
