Sark's future

So I saw the first unconfirmed report concerning his potential termination.  Not a whole lot there, but TX is so screwed the remainder of this year:

--Ole Miss

--Miss St.

--at Missouri

--at LSU

--Arkansas

--at TX A&M

Miss St. got smacked last WE, but were without their studs at QB & TB.  If they are ready they are an entirely different team.

If they lose only to Ole MS & at LSU, they'd finish 8-4 with wins over OSU; at TN; MS State; and A & M and losses of Florida; OK at Dallas; Ole MS 7 at LSU.  Would that be enough to be the SEC's 5th team?

I'd feel sorry for Sark if he didn't have a $50M buyout.

I'll add this:  I sure wish college football would stay at 12 teams.  The rest of this season is going to be crazy interesting.....it would not be if there were 24 spots.

Sark is kind of a turd. Makes excuses about being in the “toughest” conference. Won’t be a 16-0 team that wins the championship etc…he’s had all the recourses and then some. He’s got a culture problem it seems. Very undisciplined teams too. The Texas schools just throw money around and have nothing to show for it.

I've looked at him as being overrated, even when their team was really good.  He's never seemed to be at the same level as a Cig or a Kirby Smart, but the talking heads always talked as if he was, and said he was an offensive genius.

PS...the guy I really think is a real POS is Cristobal, but he seems formidable as a Miami coach because he fits in so well with their thug approach, and he knows his stuff.

If I had a dollar for every Texas fan lament I've seen, about a very short yardage WR end around, or a pitch to the RB, that got stuffed behind the line and cost them in a game, I'd have a nice pile of cash.

This year when they whine about a stuffed short yardage play someone comments that at least it wasn't to the WR, LOL.

There will absolutely still be excitement in the 24 team era.  Not only are you bringing probably 15-18 additional fan bases into the mix well into November, but you're also going to have dramatic battles for the top 8 spots, then spots 9-16 to see who gets to host the first round.  We haven't even gotten to the first rankings show yet for this year, so we don't even know what the committee is thinking in terms of the top 12 because right now there are probably 20+ teams with a claim on things DEPENDING UPON how the rest of their season goes.  Hell, Michigan is still in the conversation.

I'm agree with Saban on this.  If you add 12 more teams, you add 12 teams with little or no chance to win the NC, and/or have not done enough to deserve to be given the opportunity.
