The disrespect continues.
I was working from home yesterday and had ESEC (a/k/a ESPN) on for a while. Jug Ears opined that Alabama will beat IU because Alabama has tradition. That's some kind of high-level analysis right there. Effing idiot. Another moron (a/k/a Cam Newton) piled on and chimed in that teams are afraid of programs like Ohio State and Alabama, but nobody's afraid to play IU. "I think nobody's losing sleep over playing Indiana. But there are teams that are going to lose sleep over the thought of playing Alabama," said Newton.
IU has defeated two of the top five teams in the country. We are the #1 team in the country and clearly deserving of that ranking. But the SEC mouthpieces continue to trash us.
All I want for Christmas is a complete beat-down of Alabama on New Year's Day. GO IU!!
They need to make a video of these idiots and others and their remarks and play them in the locker room and weight room 24/7 until the game.
Absolutely. It infuriates me and I'm not on the team. This kind of shit would make my blood boil if I was a player or coach.

The noise is so loud that I assure you, they are hearing it. As the game gets closer and Bama fans keep researching about Hoosiers, the IU boogeyman will slowly appear before them. I prefer they come in supremely confident because it's easier to take away their will when they don't expect it.
Look, Bama has rushed for 25 total yards in the last TWO games combined. They avg 89 rushing yards per game in the SEC. They are also 30th against the rush. That is where this game will be won. IU can wear that defense down and force them to stack the box and that's when Mendoza gets to work. For as bad as their rush is, you'd surmise they must be a top 5 passing attack, they aren't. They are 25th. IU just needs to play its game and this thing can get out of control in IU's favor.

I think Dante Moore and Julian Sayin would disagree, given how they were human pinatas against IU. I would bet Rhule and Bielema have nightmares about the generational whuppings they got playing IU.
Alabama is going to get a generous portion of humble pie in a week
Here's hoping Alabama's players overlook us. Their coaches won't.The disrespect continues.

The only thing that is worrying me is the big loss of Daley! I hope that hole can be filled so Bama doesn’t exploit it!
Yeah, crap. Daley goes down and I get a 'why can't we have nice things' vibe. At 13-0 I am complaining... LOL.
Losing Wyatt and now Daley, pretty big.
@bradstevens No, and after OSU, that may be a wake up call, but it's still human nature, and they'll think they're better. Let's hope they believe in the hype their fans are spewing. The SEC is just better... at talking BS!
Tough situation when the coach has one foot in Ann Arbor.
Alabama/SEC fans continue to trash us on social media ("This will be a wake-up call for Indiana," "Indiana hasn't seen anything like the SEC," etc.). What a bunch of BS. The more I read and think about this game, the better I feel about it.
First, there's no question that losing Daley is a setback. That said, we're not facing an Oregon or Ohio State-type offense in the Rose Bowl. Alabama's offense has significant limitations. They struggle to run the football and, against defenses that are inferior to ours, Alabama allows pressure and they give up sacks. Haines is going to have his boys bringing it against Simpson.
Next, and on the other side of the ball, having Drew Evans back after losing him for the Maryland, Penn State and Wisconsin games is huge. Through the first eight games of the season, PFF gave him an 87.3 pass blocking grade, 14th best among all FBS guards. He allowed only four total pressures and zero sacks. Evans's importance to our offensive success can't be overstated.
Can't wait for this game!
