Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
Good old FOX and their noon slot. Bleh.
Makes for a long afternoon and evening celebrating that win for sure.
Open tailgates Friday afternoon.
OSU hasn't come to Bloomington since before Cignetti. How many tickets do we think they'll buy, even at the extreme prices?
I get the current TV deal gave us a lot of money but we need to find a way to mitigate FOX always having access to the best games and throwing them down at noon as a way to prop up BNK. This is why ND and the SEC gets more notoriety. Their bets games are often televised that night.

Interesting question. I really don't know.
They're one of, if not the best traveling fanbase. Them and Tennessee are tops imo. They show up everywhere and are the only B1G team who can bring a material number of fans here.
We held our own in the BTT game last year. It's a big game for our fans too and as we saw in the playoff last season -- when our fans are excited they buy tickets. I dunno, 15% OSU fans maybe? Hopefully no more than 20%. Just a guess.
@lonestarhoosier1 I don't think it will be a very large contingent and it will be hard to gauge with similar colors. I think it'll look and sound like an IU crowd. Plus, if they're buying tix off websites, they'll be dispersed throughout the stadium and not in a visitor's section.
@lonestarhoosier1 the ticket prices will not make a difference to that fan base. They are in it for the kill this year.
From the look at the secondary market prices we have had a good bit of fans sell out for the all nighty dollar.
Would not be a bit surprised to see 8-10k there which makes for such a joyous afternoon🙄
@ccmac Yea, they’re an unpleasant group to deal with.
But, our fans are buying the resale tickets too. It’s gonna be a mega atmosphere. A lot to gain, a lot to lose — very exciting.
@tammany Sucks. Gonna be traveling that day so I was hoping for a prime time game or worst case scenario maybe a 3:30 start so we could be at our destination and checked in before kickoff. Guess I’ll be trying to find Don’s broadcast on SiriusXM.
For the life of me I can’t understand why a season ticket holder would sell tickets in mid-October to THAT game. Of all the games, it would seem to be the one you’d absolutely keep.

You know FOX owns 49% of the B1G Network?? They get first pick of games every week!!!

Yea. People who buy season tickets by and large don't need the money. It's the biggest reg season game of the year. Strange not to go. But some people do strange things.

FOX can have the first pick of games, just don't have it at NOON EVERY WEEK! ha Take a slight hit on the pocket so you can give them the prime time slot. Then when the popularity of the B1G continues to grow, the value of our TV rights will grow along with it.
