Let's keep this going , it's not a given just because we did it last year that we will repeat it this year. Let's figure out how to repeat it. So personally until I see an IU Football team be built into a program then i will be doubtful. Every coach we've had has said all of this and where are we ???

IU isn't perfect but they have one of the highest paid football coaching staffs in the country now. Bryant Haines and Derek Owings both received multiple pay raises to prevent bigger schools from hiring them. It will always be a struggle to compete with the established powers with respect to facilities and NIL resources, but Cignetti has gotten pretty much everything he asked for.

The cover 3 podcast from Wednesday brought up us dropping Virginia. They were talking out of both sides of their mouth on the topic. Didnt like we dropped them, but then said it was probably the smart thing to do considering our program history.
@boogie Yea. The best Fornelli could muster is that it was "lame" given how much Cig supposedly "talks." Not a great argument, and he ended up also conceding it was also smart. Danny and Bud were more on our side which was nice.
And I'm fine with it, I like Tom and it's not a big deal his Illinois-ness creeps in from time to time. It's part of the show.
@tammany yeah, just thought it was a bit odd is all. I really like their pod, although I don't agree with some of what they say, I still understand their point they are generally making. This one seemed like it was just something to drum up some talking points since it's been a relatively slow month in terms of college football.

@hoosiers94 I don’t get the need to take shots at other posters like this. Tam is a good poster on a site for fans to talk IU football. After a lifetime of watch and following IU football we can be happy with where we are and not have high expectations. Do we expect the program participants to have higher expectations? Yes. But we can be quite content with anything that we find a good level of entertainment in.
