INDIANA FB Cancels Virginia Series In Favor Of "Cupcake U" Slate

by Tyler Reed, The Big Lead Indiana cancels home/home series with Virginia in 2027-28 & must pay Cavs $500,000 for canceling the series. Instead, Indiana has added home games with Kennesaw St. in 2027, Austin Peay in 2028 & Eastern Ill. in 2029. The 2026 season still needs home nonconference opponent. So far, the ND-Indiana series (2030-31) is still on. On the other hand, Dan Orlosky of Awful Announcing, predicts the Big Ten will have the most CFP teams for the 2025 season. "There's 5 teams from the Big Ten that I feel very confidently in making it. PSU, OSU, Oregon, Ill., & the 5th team is probably Indiana or Michigan"

and not to mention I have stated I enjoyed last year. It was great. I have stated I'm excited for this year. But what I'm not doing is holding my breath. If a one season wonder makes folks content then that's where we separate. I want a program that competes, year in and year out. That's all. And at this point IU has lost my blind faith. Until it comes about I will not hold my breath.
