Another fantastic group of kids coming.

That offensive lineman group are what coaches dream about in terms of recruiting.

@thehoosierhuddle couple of these losses/changes are at TE and we do have a very young TE group on campus. Probably the youngest of any position since Cig's been here. Think that's scaring these kids, if they're looking for PT soon?

With the portal, I would think it would be hard for any recruit to accurately judge competition for playing time.

Our TE room is young but completely untested.   Obviously some of the players will get playing time this year to prove their worth but who knows how they will do.  And who knows which ones will be on the team the following year in the current environment.    It would almost be smarter to go to whatever team can develop you the best and then see where you want to go after a couple years.

@hurryinghoosiers A bunch. I doubt the kid did anything wrong, but schools will not want to deal with that head ache of a parent

@hurryinghoosiers It would be hard for them to judge, but that doesn't mean they won't still do it. It's a lot easier if you're a TE looking at last years roster to think you could earn PT quicker than this year, wouldn't you agree?

I think mainly I'm just perplexed by our TEs this year, and that we have no one with any real experience or production at the college level. The Cig approach (to me) would have screamed to bring in someone with proven college experience, at least as an expected backup. But, we're rolling with what, a soph and 2 RS freshmen? Anxious to see what happens there. Thinking they must have felt great about the 2 RS freshmen and had a high grade on Schott, and been convinced his injury/surgery were no problem.
