Hoosiers to Host a Dozen Prospects on Official Visits this Weekend (May 15-17)

The Indiana Hoosiers are hosting 12 players on official visits this weekend, including a handful who are very high on the defending national champions. Here is who will be in Bloomington beginning May 15th. David 'Tre' Segarra III, Running Back, Byrnes HS, Duncan, South Carolina Segarra is a national top 150 player and IU is the first of his five official visits (players can take more than five now). Indiana is right in the mix with Penn State, South Carolina, Stanford and Tennesse. He has 25 total offers. As a junior, Segarra ran for 1,460 yards and scored 21 total touchdowns. Talan Scott, Tight End, American Leadership Academy, Queen Creek, AZ Scott is a three-star prospect with 18 offers. He has five official visits scheduled, according to 247Sports. IU will be his first stop. Other official vistis include Washington State (May 29), SMU (June 5), Kansas (June 12) and Auburn (June 19).Scott is a multi-sport athlete and can play on both sides of the ball. As a junior, he caught 45 passes for 468 yards and eight touchdowns, then turned around and made 44 tackles, including 10.5 for loss on defense. Dominic Black, Offensive Line, Tri-Village HS, New Madison, Ohio If there is an area that IU is focusing on in this class, it is the offensive line. Black is a top 150 player nationally and could be a good bet to end up at IU. Black has just three official visits lined up, starting with Indiana. He is scheduled to visit Kentucky on June 5th and Virginia Tech on June 12th. Caleb Johnson, Offensive Line, Noblesville HS, Noblesville, IN The number two player in Indiana has the Hoosiers as one of four schools he has set official visits to. He was on campus for an unofficial visit in April for spring practice. Again, Indiana has the first visit as Johnson has officials scheduled with Michigan State (May 29), Iowa (June 5) and Missouri (June 12). Kal-El Johnson, Offensive Line, Archbishop Moeller, Cincinnati, OH Kal-El, appropriately, shares Superman's name, is crystal balled to Ohio State by 247Sports, but Indiana is getting him on campus. Johnson took a visit to Georgia Tech last week and has three others (Texas, UNC and Ohio State) scheduled after IU. Mason McDermott, Offensive Line, Noblesville HS, Noblesville, IN The second of two Millers on campus this weekend for the Hoosiers, McDermott has been on campus many times over the last year. He visited Northwestern earlier in May and will take two more visits after IU (UCLA and Missouri). Roman Igwebuike, Linebacker, Mount Carmel HS, Chicago, Illinois There are some big-name schools Indiana is going to have to fight off for Igwebuike, who has visits scheduled to Notre Dame (June 12), Clemson (May 29), Missouri (June 5) and Tennessee (June 19). Chris Kasky, Defensive End, Nazareth Academy, La Grange Park, IL Kasky has just two reported official visits (Iowa and Missouri), but is scheduled to be in Bloomington this weekend. He projects as a STUD defender in IU's defense. Myles Smith, Defensive End, Farmington HS, Farmington, MI Another coveted edge rusher, Indiana is one of five schools that Smith will visit this spring. Smith has visits to Michigan State (May 29), Missouri (June 5), Kentucky (June 12) and Michigan (June 19). Rico Jackson, Cornerback, Quince Orchard HS, Gaithersburg, MD Jackson has 21 total offers, but the three hottest teams on his list are Indiana, Penn State and Virginia Tech. He has officials set up with all three, starting with IU this weekend. Davion Jones, Safety, Hough HS, Cornelius, NC Jones is another highly rated and highly sought-after prospect from the Carolinas. The Hoosiers once again have the first visit. The four other schools with scheduled visits are Georgia (May 29), Auburn (June 5), LSU (June 12) and South Carolina (June 19). Levi McKenzie, Safety, Riverdale HS, Ft. Myers, FL McKenzie has only one reported official visit schedule and it is IU. He holds 10 offers including Florida and Louisville.
