As is tradition at many schools, the person in the mascot costume is revealed at the end of the school year. Today was that day for Hoosier!

Never would have guessed it was a chick. (Yeah, I'm an old chauvinist.)
I wonder if being a parachutist (?) was part of the job description or if they just got lucky.
@unclemark I 100% thought it was an ROTC student because they parachuted solo. Bu
Love that clip. IU is coming along, finally!!! Go Hoosiers!
I’m assuming that it wasn’t her that parachuted into the stadium. That was a professional jumper.
The number of people who think there is just one Hoosier the Bison blows my mind. I'd guess there are anywhere between 4-6 of these folks, but she is just the only one revealed because she's the only one who graduated.
@gros-louis Maybe. Whatever the case, they've done an excellent job with it so far. First rate videos for sure.

I guess I'm a dumbass since I didn't think there were multiples.
So for the opener, one actor did the parachute jump, and another made the motorcycle entrance and worked the game?
I suppose having a backup or two makes sense, in case of injury or illness or heat or whatever.
Lots of games across all the sports. Plus various appearances. Several people make sense.
All high level mascots are multiple human beings. There's too many games/events, many simultaneous, for one person to cover them. But even mascots for pro teams are multiple people. The number of people who think there is just one Hoosier the Bison blows my mind. And none of the students jumped out of an airplane in that costume. They put the costume on the professional skydiver.

Yep. She says that she's "one of the first people to portray Hoosier the Bison". That sounds like she's one of multiple people in the costume.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.
