I get why people would ask, why step into that online debate. However, in my opinion, Haines can do whatever he damn well wants. ha That guy had no business sticking around last year, let alone again for next season.  He's taking after coach and prepping for the next step, so you know what.,.....if he's riding, you better believe we're riding with him!

I find it funny that Bama fans have turned ALL of their anger towards Indiana football.  Winning at this level can turn the nation against you, so fast.  While at the same time, add so many new diehard fans across the globe that will have a generational impact on IU football.

You never heard about too many high-end recruits who "dreamed of playing for IU football" when they grew up.  Like we did for IU bball when they were winning titles.   The closest we often would get in football is a kid who say they grew up merely watching IU football and that doesn't always translate in them wanting to come to IU.

No doubt on 'Bama and others turning on you. See online often now 'Indiana you guys are quickly becoming one of the toxic fan bases!" usually when somebody was cocky back toward some negative comment toward us. (Or, being a fan I just don't see it.)

Usually right after the 'way too cocky' or 'toxic' or 'arrogant'!  comments many will still say 'yeah, but I still root for them, what a story. I'd rather have them keep winning than Ohio State, or the SEC' , LOL

That is one soft fan base.  You'd think they'd laugh about it and point fingers, since they're football royalty. They're afraid of falling back into Pre-Saban irrelevancy and being lost in the desert for another 15 year titleless stretch.  I hate to see it....

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.
