Bama fans crying about Haines response to Ty Simpsons slight is hilarious.
Bryant knows how to pick his spots on X. Pretty funny.
Those comments don't paint Ty Simpson is a good light. It appears he had no idea what was going on in Rose Bowl.

It didn't feel like Ty was intending it to be a dig. He even said IU was coached so well. The fact that IU doesn't throw, what he believes are exotic looks, yet IU absolutely shut them down, speaks volumes.
Haines shouldve ignored it. Who cares. Kid said good coaching.
He is trying to dis Haines a little though, because Haines rep all over is the great disguises and Ty knows that. So his good coaching may be a nod toward Cig and culture. But it may have been toward Haines too as Bama fans seem to think.
Ty averaged a stout 4.2 yards per attempt, lol, even with a high completion percentage. Those 2 yard dump offs looked open...
,
Simpson proved on film he didn't know what was going on in the Rose Bowl!
This has turned into a full on hootenanny ha ha

@thehoosierhuddle anything to say for yourself? lol
@gros-louis Yeah, to my knowledge, nothing like this happened. I am in the radio booth with Don and Buck, but Ben and Nick, who were in the press box, said there was nothing said, as does everyone else.
Now, these guys may have run into some fans in the area who may have talked some smack, but they explicitly said it was the press corps. They, like their team, were stuffed into a locker. If they keep pushing the issue, they open themselves to a libel suit, especially if it costs someone a job or credential (extreme, but it's possible).
The accuser is also part of the FWAA (as am I) there is a way to file a formal complaint with them. There is also usually an official from the Rose Bowl to go talk to and have the person removed if necessary.
Just looking at the list of IU media near them, there are only a few I don't really know their personalities very well to absolutely exclude them, but nothing jumps out at me suggesting it happened. It's not like Kirkwood & Dunn is on this seating chart. THAT I could probably believe.@gros-louis Yeah, to my knowledge, nothing like this happened. Some Bama fans are going through it.
Boo hoo.
@tammany except it wasn't a Bama fan making the accusations, it was two members of their media group.
@thehoosierhuddle Yea, but I assume they’re Bama fans.
Their story seems a bit far fetched and hard to believe, but I can only guess.
@tammany I get what you're saying. If they were regular Bama fans, I'd be less concerned with their opinion. I am sure they root for the Tide, just like we all root for IU (because it is good for business), but it's the fact they were in the press box, accusing others of being unethical without any proof, that is my big issue.
If there was video or some proof that this happened, I'd be singing a different tune.
@thehoosierhuddle I’m not arguing with you at all!
I’ve got little sympathy for them and their claims that I don’t believe.
@tammany No, I didn't take it as an argument. I am just clearing up my thoughts. We have been in press boxes where major donors or family of coaches etc. are actively cheering in there. So maybe it was a fan with press box access.
