I'd love to see some historic results in games with that kind of disparity.
I don't know how to find the data, but the only teams I can think of without many highly ranked recruits that could hang with the blue chip top teams were perhaps some of Bill Snyder's K-State squads (he was juco recruiting wizard). Aside from that, none come to mind.
Who are our 7 four-star recruits? Omar Cooper, EJ Williams, Pat Coogan, perhaps? I have no clue who the others are.

I went and looked it up. Coogan was a 3-star. The other 5 are:
Andrew DePaepe
Byron Baldwin
Holden Staes
Tyler Morris
Zen Michalski
So, one has missed the whole season, one is a second stringer, one plays when we need a blocking tight end, one is a second string OL, but has played a lot as basically the 6th man, and one is 3rd or 4th string on the DL.
OF those 7 4-stars, only 4 are likely to see time against Alabama. Alabama probably has more 4 and 5 stars starting on their OL than we have starting on both sides of the ball.
Cignetti is football Jesus.

Cig feeds on hearing about blue chip ratio. Would love to see him at the coaching meetings talking with the blue bloods
