Seems OK. Missing an opportunity though. Could have the naming rights for each year be the top two or three recruits we need to sway.
'The Fernando Mendoza Hosea Wheeler field presented by Merchant Bank', if they had been on the fence.
Then next year whoever else Cig wants.
Rev share = cost of living adjustment.
@hurryinghoosiers Can people sue if they don't score when USC score for false promises?
The fine print says if you are having trouble keeping up, lower your standards....
@red-hornet I'm afraid all the student/athletes will be interested in is which automobile dealerships give the best deals, and how to get the best finance interest rates. 😉

Most probably are getting enough money that they won't have to finance the cars. That's what us peons have to worry about.
I like Scott's priorities. We will need it for the year 2026 as many graduate or enter the NFL Draft.
@hurryinghoosiers Have you seen the price of new Suburbans and Escalades?

Nope, too busy griping about the price of crvs and accords lol
@red-hornet saw that. We just had a long thread on that very topic. I’m happy they have that opportunity as part of this deal.

Theres a STD joke here somewhere!
If men were any more stupid, we would have breed for the extinction of women. Proof yet again that WE are the best thing they have going for them.
As long as the stock market keeps going up, which it has since NIL was implemented, money will continue to roll in.@unclemark I doubt it. Rev share kicked in this year and NIL pretty much stayed were it was before this year. The NIL clearinghouse could reduce NIL slightly, but I think they'll get sued and targeted by lawmakers such that it does very little. It's hard to justify telling young athletes they can't be paid what people want to pay them. Especially in situations where athletes are from less well off backgrounds.
At the end of the day, the money will find a way to the players, which is overall a good thing.
At some point we may see some donor fatigue setting in, but that hasn't happened much from what I can tell.
If the economy takes a dive, there is going to be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Hopefully players take advantage of this. The partnership between INDIANA University & Merchants Bank provides INDIANA student-athletes with a no-cost financial literacy training from Merchants Bank, an important benefit with revenue sharing & NIL at the forefront of college athletics.
Imagine how many millions kids who come from poor backgrounds are pulling in now. Even if it's not millions, any money coming in would be a God-send to the players and their families.
There are a lot of families that could be lifted out of poverty with good financial management and investing.
I think this is a fantastic benefit.
