Disastrous weekend for the B10. This conference has been overhyped!
@jj_mcclure Not a great first two weeks at all. Today could’ve been salvaged with an OSU win, but they choked it away. It was nearly worse but Iowa hung on.
Duke beating Illinois was a blow. Washington looked bad. Purdue lost in typical Purdue fashion. Oregon has Penn State vibes.

I know you were joking but you can be certain that the pitch fork tines are being sharpened over in Columbus tonight… One more loss (to Anybody) and they’re gonna have an insurrection on their hands over there… One of the worthless nuts (Websters definition of a buckeye) is bound to point out that Day has gone 1-3 over his last 4 games, with his only W coming against Ball State… 🤣

@thehoosierhuddle Don’t forget that Minnesota was completely outclassed at home by an SEC team which is typically considered a bottom-feeder in that conference (to be fair they may be better this year).
Going into the season the narrative was the top end of the B1G was better and the SEC had better depth.
It's really early, but the top of both conferences look much more even. Frankly a lot depends on how good IU ends up being, which we won't know for a few more weeks.
The depth of the B1G looks not good. The bottom really stinks. And some of the teams hoping to be playoff contenders are looking a bit doubtful.
Again, it's hard to tell after two games, but the trend ain't good for the B1G.
@tammany Unfortunately, perception is reality and the perception now is that the SEC has closed the gap on the top.

@drjb I don’t get the whole Arch thing. Guy has some skills but not great decision maker. If he didn’t have the Manning name I suspect he wouldn’t be as highly regarded.

The B1G vs SEC subplot interesting and fun, but I’ve got this conflict that I dislike most of the teams in the B1G!
I think as long as the B1G is decent and delivers enough SOS for IU that’s enough for me.

Agree on assigning an emoji. It's tough duty. Chopping wood is an easier chore. Losses are seldom in the Buckeye but Day suffers every one for the whole season. The days of tolerance as John Cooper received are over.
Yeah, it’s amazing to think that a guy who just won the whole thing two years ago has a legitimate chance of being fired if he loses two more games (even if one of those is an early Playoff game)… He could probably survive losing in the Final…

Yeah, I'll normally pull for a B1G team vs. someone OOC (even Purdue), but not OSU. Same with MI. Used to feel that way about WI, but that's changed to IL. I'm sure most of you understand the why of that.
