The defense has been very good since the Oregon game. They only tripped up against Penn State in the second half. The offense is what concerns me. Evans and EJ Williams need to get healthy.
I am going to go ahead and announce my concerns for this game since it seems they are going to play it. I think OSU is probably playing their best football right now. I don’t think IU has played their best football in a month. We have had some guys out and they are going to be back probably but to seriously compete in this game IU is going to have to have an Oregon like performance. Maybe we have been laying in the weeds and holding back trying save it for later. I hope so. I really don’t want to listen to the crap we had to take last year.
They're already calling it a home game for us. Likely won't happen but I guarantee you the committee would love to move us to #5 with a loss. Hope we keep it close at least.

One factor that hasn’t been discussed is IU wanting revenge for last season’s meeting. They heard all off-season that they didn’t belong because of that loss and that has helped motivate them this season. Cignetti mentioned that in his interview with Nicole Auerbach.

@dbmhoosier What's your authority for the claim that the committee would "love to move us to #5 with a loss?" I've heard/seen no evidence for that. On the contrary, the committee was still talking us up bigly after the Penn State game, when others were suggesting we should drop after the nailbiter in State College.
If we lose to Ohio State, we'll drop to no lower than 3. Take it to the bank.
